Amid Assurances on Ebola, Obama Is Said to Seethe
NYT ^ | 10/17/2014 | MICHAEL D. SHEAR and MARK LANDLER

Beneath the calming reassurance that President Obama has repeatedly offered during the Ebola crisis, there is a deepening frustration, even anger, with how the government has handled key elements of the response.

Those frustrations spilled over when Mr. Obama convened his top aides in the Cabinet room after canceling his schedule on Wednesday. Medical officials were providing information that later turned out to be wrong. Guidance to local health teams was not adequate. It was unclear which Ebola patients belonged in which threat categories.

“It’s not tight,” a visibly angry Mr. Obama said of the response, according to people briefed on the meeting. He told aides they needed to get ahead of events and demanded a more hands-on approach, particularly from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “He was not satisfied with the response,” a senior official said.

Obama is an inept inexperienced air head who doesn’t have the slightest idea how to manage anything more complicated than a golf club.

The Puppet's 'Katrina moment'

Exactly. Bush appointed a lawyer to head FEMA. Obama appointed a lawyer to be Ebola czar. This will work when hurricanes and viruses learn to obey injunctions.

Remember when Obama "seethed" over the IRS?

Yeah, right. Only a PR stunt.

It's a shame Mr. Obama is beset by all these intractable problems that are not his fault. He wants to do the right thing, but people in the government keep letting him down.

Anyone looking for a quick course in media bias can compare the NYT coverage of 1) Bush during Katrina, and 2) Obama now.

It's not "tight" because he didn't make it tight - in a single thing he's done. He loves muslims more than Christians, he loves Blacks more than Whites, he appointed 'like thinkers' over intelligent ones and I don't think he could care less about what happens to us.

Exactly. The media will do whatever necessary to keep this from becoming a Katrina moment.
Just as they did everything they could to create the original ‘Katrina moment’ for Bush.

Poor 0. His cabinet full of lightweights failed. What did he expect? Surely not success, not with his picks, they're not experienced enough where it counts to even come close to being a JV team. Inquiring minds want to know will all this put a crimp in his golf outings? Maybe he'll do his stampy foot dance at the next presser. I got popcorn...

The only thing he’s seething about is that he’s screwed up and the media is reporting it.

And thus the response: Get a experienced democrat media-control expert in charge of Obola!

It's funny. Usually the president can just make a decree, and government will make it happen. The government is great at doing stuff. So this government must be racist.

That must be one very tall bus that Obama keeps throwing people and groups under. Never his fault.

This article is so offensive on so many levels.

“Part of the challenge is to be assertive, to be in command, and yet not feed a kind of panic that could easily evolve here,” said David Axelrod, a close adviser to the president in his first term. “It’s not enough to doggedly and persistently push for answers in meetings. You have to be seen doggedly and persistently pushing for answers.”

No Axelrod, the POTUS is supposed to know how to solver problems. Not look like he is solving problems. Example: Eboloa is a BSL 4 virus meaning you have to respond to it in an appropriate manner. To date the CDC protocols are lacking. This country has 11 beds at four facilities in the WHOLE country. Three of those beds are taken. Yet, Obama sees fit to allow up to 150 people from the Hot Zones to enter into this country each and every day. I say that is the very policy that the President has to take responsibility for.

Susan E. Rice, the national security adviser, has been leading the effort to prod Britain, Germany, France and other countries to do more to respond to the outbreak.

Susan Rice was caught lying to the world in the Benghazi affair. She has no credibility. No one in Europe will take her seriously. The same for Japan. She lost face.

On Friday afternoon, even before Mr. Klain started, the White House showed signs of returning to normal.

Oh, great things are returning to normal. Normal like the Obamacare Website?

The malignant narcissist's imposture of competence is fraying. The pressure is getting to him. The Clintons are aggravating him. The press, feeble and supine as they are, are asking too many questions. The mockery from the people is getting through on the innerwebs. As his delusions of grandeur are increasingly challenged by reality, he will bunker up. Only the most loyal of insiders will have access and only the advice they offer that supports his psychopathy will be welcomed. As his administration crumbles its way into the last two years his inner circle will reduce to the most sychophantic toadies who will sing panegyrics as the lights go out and Barry slips away again into his drug induced dream world where he can, once again, be the Hidden Imam risen from his well to conquer the world.

Anger is a detriment when striving for solutions. But, “cool head Obama” was always a myth. He’s one angry sum’bitch.
