Obama putting key priorities on hold until after midterm election

President Obama is taking time out from his much-trumpeted "year of action" to observe a period more important to his Democratic allies in Congress: the season of campaigning..

One by one, the Obama administration is setting aside key priorities, in the hope that voters won't do the same to his fellow Democrats.

Immigration reform, once deemed a pressing back-to-school item, will wait at least until the winter holidays.

Enrollment in Obamacare will start six weeks later than last year. The climate will warm at the same rate, with new regulations pending.

The latest addition to the not-to-do list came this week, when the White House put off an announcement on the president's nominee for attorney general, a pick he has been privately thinking about a long time.

White House aides smile and defend the strategy, saying privately that they're trying to be sensitive to the concerns of Democrats, especially senators in tough election races.

There was a time when a president, faced with the possibility of having both houses of congress dominated by the opposing party, would try to cram through as much as possible through congress before that opposing party took over. But Obama’s handlers know that a Republican majority in both houses of congress won't make a difference. The thugs have either intimidated or paid off the opposition. Congress will just roll over and let the king do whatever he wants.

” The GOPe at least stood up against obamacare. “

Easy to stand up. when you know you can’t win.

” The amnesty most would tolerate would be very watered down.”

I’ll believe that whe I see it. My two (Chamber of Commerce whore) senators, McCain & Flake, can’t wait to vote for full amnesty. If full amnesty passes, there goes the country. I wish I had your optimism, but recent history has proven otherwise.

” I BELIEVE CONSERVATIVES HAVE A BETTER CHANCE STANDING UP TO OBAMA IF THE REPUBLICANS HAVE CONTROL OF THE SENATE THE NEXT TWO YEARS”

On many things, yes. On other critical things, maybe.

Obamacare would have never made it to the senate floor if republicans were in charge.

I guess I can understand your position a lot more when you said McCain and Flake were your senators. I don’t know a lot about Flake but McCain makes me throw up. Fortunately for me, it’s a lot easier. I’ve got Jeff Sessions and Richard Shelby as my senators.

I can understand the attacks on Thad and his thug group. However, I have a difficult time understand some attacking Pat Roberts. He’s been very conservative throughout his time in the senate. Is he a Ted Cruz? No but he’s better than most of them.

I would prefer Mitch not be senate majority leader but he’s better than Harry Reid. And Grimes is just a loud mouth bitc#.

I held my nose voting for Mitt but we’d be a lot better off if he had been elected.

Correct, but they weren’t in charge.

” I’ve got Jeff Sessions “

One of a very few great leaders we have. Lucky you!

Yep. We are very lucky this nation has Sessions.

I believe AZ has a pretty good governor. Damn shame JD Hayworth didn’t unseat that clown McLame.

I don’t doubt that you are accurate about your own situation.

But, as you describe things in post #1, you’re not the problem.

Others are, and you are refusing to assess that problem honestly.

"Yeah, I don't like the GOPe either..."

The MSM has had a vendetta against the GOP and conservatives these last ten or so years.....the truth about WMD, Bush, and Republican controlled Congress probably is somewhat skewed don'tcha think?

We are however, getting a load of scat about voter ID being suppressive again...think about this:

India has 1.27 billion people, 400 million of them earn less than $1.25 per day. Yet every single voter in India has a Voter ID

Democrats in the USA, led by Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Michelle Obama, along with Democrat cheer leader, Debbie Wasserman Shultz….. Call that “Voter Suppression”.

Transparency = We Have To Wait Until After The Election….

Posted on October 18, 2014

Obviously if President Obama and the Democrat party were working diligently on behalf of the U.S. electorate they would be rushing to reveal the success of their programs and policies prior to the election.

transparency-lies

So what does it mean when so many critical subjects, topics, policies, programs and consequences, have their public release dates pushed back until after the election?

♦  We have to wait until after the election to find out the results of the Bowe Bergdahl investigation:

The Army has completed its investigation into Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s abandonment of his Afghan post but will not release the report until after the midterm elections lest it embarrass the Obama administration. (link)

♦  We have to wait until after the election to find out how much the Obamacare health insurance premiums are going to be:

Those planning to purchase health insurance on the Obamacare exchange will soon find out how much rates have increased — after the Nov. 4 election. (link)

♦  We have to wait until after the election to find out the if our health insurance policies are cancelled for the upcoming year:

The new plan cancellations will be sent out after the elections! The delay has been made unilaterally by the Administration because it involves millions of people who are about to lose their insurance that they hoped to keep but which Obama has determined is inferior.  (link)

♦  We have to wait until after the election to find out what President Obama plans to do with executive action and immigration reform:

President Barack Obama says he’s postponing executive action on immigration until after November’s elections because it would be “more sustainable” then.  (link)

♦  We have to wait until after the election to find out who the nominee for U.S. Attorney General is going to be:

President Barack Obama does not plan to announce his choice for attorney general before the November elections, shielding the nomination from the midterm election politics while setting up a potential year-end showdown with the lame duck Senate. (link)

♦  We have to wait until after the election to find out what Fast and Furious documents were withheld from public release by the White House and DOJ:

[...] the judge also said she saw no reason to allow the Justice Department to withhold unprivileged documents until the case was complete. She ordered those records turned over to the committee by Nov. 3, along with a log of the records claimed to be privileged. (link)

♦  We have to wait until after the election to see what President Obama’s actual plan to combat ISIS is going to be, and whether congress supports it:

Senate Democrats plan to debate and vote on a broad resolution authorizing military strikes against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) after the election, dodging the danger of angering liberal voters this fall.  (link)

♦  And we still don’t know if we will have to wait until after the election to find out when the Eric Holder led DOJ/CRS will permit the release of the Saint Louis Grand Jury investigation into whether Mike Brown’s shooting was justified….

There are some on here willing to sacrifice the senate to Obama because they didn't get what they wanted (I didn't get 100% what I wanted either). How smart is cutting your nose off to spite your face? I cannot reason with people that think it's okay to let Obama have control of the senate for this last two years. Yeah, I don't like the GOPe either but I am not willing to throw the nation and our children under a bus to make my point.

Oh PUH-LEEZE. The Republicans have made it very clear that they are only too happy to pass the Obama agenda if they win the Senate. So that's just great, because it will give the Obama administration BI-PARTISAN COVER for the next two years leading up to the 2016 presidential elections.

Moreover, a Republican Senate victory will prove to the big goverment loving RINOcrats that they don't need the conservative base, on whom they have declared outright WAR, so you can forget about them becoming more conservative anytime soon -- not that we have any more time to wait.

You think it's crazy to say that Republicans intend to pass the Democrat agenda? Consider that:

The Republican leadership is lowering expectations about what they'll do if they take the Senate in 2014.

John McCain is already promising to restore the filibuster and promising to expedite approval of Obama's nominees “I will work very hard to go back to 60 votes,” said Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who boldly predicts a Republican Senate would process Obama’s nominees “more rapidly than [Democrats] do today.”

And as for the House: John Boehner: ‘Very Few’ Republicans Will Oppose Me

Oh, and best of all, now Republicans are promising that a Senate takeover will increase the odds of passing immigration reform. Republicans: Immigration reform is more likely to happen if we take the Senate

Well at least the Republicans will repeal Obamacare. Oh wait, they won't.

The only SLIM chance we have to save our country at this point is to demonstrate beyond a doubt that the GOPs "moderate" agenda is doomed to fail at the polls.

Only then will we have a chance of having a true conservative Presidential nominee in 2016, and the utter collapse of Democrat credibility after two more years of their control of the Senate.

It is terrible to consider two more years of Democrat Senate Control, but no less terrible to consider the result of GOPe control.

VOTER FRAUD ALERT - These are smoke screens----b/c massive Dummycrat voter fraud is going on----Obama can then say, "See, my actions helped win the day for Dems."

Just like to point out that aside from the more "traditional" tactics of voting fraud and cheating - for example, voters voting from out of state or out of district, aliens voting, same person voting multiple times, like for dead people or people moved out of district still on registration rolls, voting for mentally incompetent people, etc., etc.- there is cheating in recording and counting votes that can be accomplished by hacking into electronic vote counting devices. Beware of anything suspicious! If you see something, say something!!!

BE ON THE ALERT Secretaries of state in every state accept reports of voter fraud.

Unfortunately, they may accept reports, but they don't have to investigate or take action on them. This is especially true if the SOS is a 'Rat and those perpetrating the fraud are 'rats as well. (You can bet that the perps will be 'Rats in the vast majority of instances!)

ATTENTION IOWA---Course, it's hard to think like Team-O's criminal Chicago politicians---but I'm petty certain a lot of money to facilitate Dummycrat voter fraud will be used extensively in Iowa--- b/c if Dummy Braley loses, the long knives will be out for Michelle for screwing up her campaign appearance there....calling Braley "Bailey."

Yes, Iowa will be targeted, but is only one of up to ten states, anywhere there is a competitive Senate race, that are on their list.
