And please no complaining about Obama’s inaction on this thread. CONGRESS makes laws. This can be a law. The House passes it, and if Reid or Obama reject it, it’s an election gift.

The question is why Boehner is sitting on this.

Actually, it is already law. I agree with your question on why Boehner is sitting on this. He and the rest of the Republicans should be out there daily, citing the law and the times in the past that Obama invoked it.

8 U.S.C. 1182(f) states ‘[W]henever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he deems to be appropriate.’

Obama utilized this provision in August 2011, ‘to restrict the international travel and to suspend the entry into the United States, as immigrants or nonimmigrants, of certain persons’ who participated in serious human rights and humanitarian law violations. Preventing Americans from contracting Ebola, which the World Health Organization (WHO) notes ‘has a death rate of up to 90%’ and has already killed at least 4,484 people in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, is every bit as important as preventing human rights abusers from entering the United States. They should be hammering this point.

1. A president can not engage in inaction. Everything he does is action, either by neglect or design.

2. Boehner (and the Republicans) are incurring the same blood guilt as Obama by their actions. Republicans don’t have to wait lemming-like for Boehner to call; they can coalesce in the House themselves. I’m sure Boehner will show up.

Boehner?

The only person actually working in congress is ted Cruz.

Everyone else except mike lee and a few congressmen are working for Obama. Anyone who allows one more hour of this insanity to go on and who isn’t also getting ready for the next onslaught will go down in history

And they’ll have their own families to answer to

It is not a Republican vs Democrat vs congress vs Obola question. It is corruption bent on destruction vs our survival that is at question.

Marxists are always fools and liars, the question is are we foolish enough to let them destroy us?

I am not a poly-sci major so you certainly could be right.

I hope you’re wrong. He came out in favor of it two days ago. It was on Drudge. I had been calling his office for three weeks...finally he came out and took the right stand. (No thanks to me...I am not even his constituent...)

I thought that one of the congressional offices said that while Congress had the power of the purse, either Obama or another agency had to initiate it? I am on your side....

I am asking, not trying to argue with you. Thanks.
