My wife loves pleasure cruises, so I go along.

Carnival is the lamest of the lame in the cruise ship industry. They're booze cruises priced for the younger party animal set. Ships are all beat up and the food is like Golden Corral buffet. They're also the line that has had all the at-sea passenger poisonings. Destinations are all the 'get stabbed with a Caribbean hobo knife' port calls because they're the cheapest.

Not at all surprised to learn that some dingbat Ebola nurse ended up on a Carnival cruise. She probably planned to spend the whole trip drunk and laid. I'd rather join the Indian Navy for a week than go on an all expense paid 7-day Carnival cruise.

Anyone interested in cruising is 1000x better off with Royal Caribbean or Celebrity. Expect to pay a little more.

Have you ever used Holland America? I’ve heard good things about them. We just returned from a week in the West Indies on Disney Magic. Us, two grandchildren, daughter and son-in-law...Had a great time on the “re-imagined” Disney Magic. (Their word not mine).

So you are stating this as a fact or an opinion?

Hubby and I MAY go on a cruise next year, thanks to the MyVegas points we’ve accumulated this year. However, it would be on Royal Caribbean leaving from Galveston. I’ve heard really good things about them, so thanks for confirming it.
