A stay temporarily halting same-sex marriages in Alaska expired Friday, technically making it legal for couples to seek marriage licenses in the state, while the U.S. Supreme Court denied a further stay.

Just one minute after the 9th Circuit stay was dissolved, in a one-line response, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy denied a request for a further stay from the state of Alaska.

But while marriages can go forward immediately, with state offices closed Friday in observance of Alaska Day, marriages will not resume until Monday morning.

“But while marriages can go forward immediately, with state offices closed Friday in observance of Alaska Day, marriages will not resume until Monday morning.”

The state legislature should meet and proclaim every day of the year to be Alaska Day.

Well, now that they have their names, they should just round them up and deport them all to Haiti. Just because they obviously want to be different. Things are very different in Haiti.

If the Haitians will have them.

I was brought up in the 50s and I am amazed that I am seeing this happen within my lifetime.

I am outraged, disgusted, disappointed, and sickened, but most of all, I am sad to actually see my country on it’s deathbed.

When I think of all that is going wrong in this country and I think of all of those patriots that have died for our country, I am sickened even more.

~~Most people in this failed country are not living lives worthy of their sacrifice.~~

If we can’t figure out a way to turn this all around, then how in the hell can we look into the eyes of our grandchildren—?
