Washington (CNN) -- President Barack Obama will appoint Ron Klain his "Ebola czar," knowledgeable sources tell CNN. The president on Thursday signaled his openness to the idea to have one individual coordinating the entire federal response to any threat of an outbreak in the United States. "It may make sense for us to have one person ... so that after this initial surge of activity, we can have a more regular process just to make sure that we're crossing all the T's and dotting all the I's going forward," Obama said.

A couple of months from now we’ll hear:
Great job “Brownie” ah I mean “Ronnie”
This is purely choosing a head to roll to keep Obama’s head above the fray. “Here’s the drill, Klainy. You do exactly what I tell you to, and if I f up, you’re fired.” That’s a czar.
Just what we need; another anti-American communist in the administration.
We are NOT RUSSIA! We don’t have Czar’s .....
Biden’s chief of staff. The jokes are writing themselves as we type.
This just shows that even the most important, intelligent ideas turn to waste product when this daministration implements them.
Goody !
Another layer of guberment.
Of all the vast supposedly super smarts, Obama picked a political operative.
Probably with illegal authorized power, answering not to Congress but himself.
Hmmmmmm.....
A former chief of staff to Vice President Joe Biden and also to then-Vice President Al Gore, Klain is currently President of Case Holdings and General Counsel of Revolution, an investment group. He has clerked for the U.S. Supreme Court and headed up Gore’s effort during the 2000 Florida recount and was portrayed in the HBO movie Recount by Kevin Spacey. He could not be reached for comment on Friday.
No, it makes no sense. Another incompetent in Obama’s group of incompetents.
I keep on thinking if it were a movie, it would be a comedy like Sharknado.
“I guess the thinking is that if you can be president with zero qualifications, what the heck. Who needs to be qualified?”
This is the “MBA Attitude” of “I do not need to know what the organization does...I can manage anything...”
In a brief moment of clarity, geraldo riviera pointed to a general with all the qualifications necessary to do the job.....zippy would never choose a military man to do the job of a political flak...
KYPD
What you said. Exactly.
Compare this to when Bush nominated Harriet Miers to SCOTUS. The most vocal opposition came from Bush’s own party as we all saw it for what it was. A political hack appointment. Odds the dims will do the same?
> Lawyer/party loyalist, not a doctor.
Can hardly know less about ebola (and esp. ebola 2014) than Frieden does.
We’ll ignore for the moment that the US government has at least three high level positions whose job description includes leading responses to infectious disease outbreaks:
- CDC Director: dangerously incompetent
- OSG* (Surgeon General): Acting SG, Obama trying to appoint another toady
- HHS Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR): scamming funds for Obama cronies
- FEMA Administrator: right, sure
* OSG front page has slide with three dangerously false “facts” about ebola.

I thought they had another social justice type in that position.
Leave it to Obola to name a political hack to head up the response to a medical crisis.
He’ll recommend martial law before he recommends a travel ban.
Just when you think it cannot get any worse, it does with Obola.
And 27 months and three days to go.
Ron Klain is not a doctor. He is not military man. He is not experienced in logistics or management or operations of any kind. He is a lawyer and political insider and operative.
What a ridiculous choice. Imagine if during Katrina GWB had replaced Michael Brown as point person with Dick Cheney’s chief of staff instead of LTG Honore.
Yep, just another Democrat ass clown to throw up to the media to lie to the public.
I’m at a loss for words.
I feel like everything that I’ve read this week has been from the Onion.
I just called both my senators....
