'Dancing with Duck Dynasty': Heiress gives God glory.

Most of us would describe the runaway hit TV show “Duck Dynasty” with terms such as “redneck,” “duck hunting,” “bayou,” “backwoods” and, of course, “beards.” However, I would argue that the word the Robertson family would most like their viewers to associate them with is “faith.”

Everybody just loves her right now. All magnolias and sweet tea. Wonder what the backlash will be if she says she agrees with Phil that he doesn't believe in or agree with the uh, "gay lifestyle". Of course not condemning anyone, just disagreeing with THEIR choices, makes a person an instant homophobe.

Yes, I noticed when she discussed the controversy on Dancing With The Stars, she was careful not to agree with Phil. She even said something like, “No matter what he would have said, the family would have stood by him because he’s our patriarch.” Of course, she’s on a TV show that depends on votes from viewers, so naturally she does not want to offend. She seems like a nice girl and is doing a great job on the show, but yes, there would be backlash if she ever came out and said she agreed with Phil, and she surely knows it.

I don’t watch DWTS much anymore, but this young girls is a really good dancer. Lovely to watch, long and lean with great lines.

She has a dancing personality to go with it.

...but she also said ‘family sticks together’ and she said when her grandfather was bashed, attacked, or whatever the word...she said the whole family didn’t want to do the show anymore.

of course, A&E backed down.

She never disagreed with her grandfather.

She has been a breath of fresh, teenage air on this show..and definitely bringing in the ratings!

Yes, she’s a wonderful dancer. I loved the Duck Dynasty number she did where Mark was the hunter and she was the duck. I hope she wins, but I think Alfonso might win. We’ll see!

She doesn't strike as someone who has any level of craftiness where she would carefully say or not say something as if it might backlash to her. She is a rather pure spirit who has no guile.

Honestly, it is refreshing to witness her actions.

Lots of bigots running around.

Her comments are subject to the TV editors, as well. It’s possible she said something that got cut out. She does seem like a nice girl.

I have it coming down to her, Alphonso and Janelle with Bethany and Lea as dark horses. It does however often come down to a popularity contest. Bristol Palin comes to mind. She came in third and was invited back for the all star show. Nice girl, terrible dancer, but strong fan based no doubt based on her mother’s popularity.

I have only watched one or two episodes of DWS but I never saw a single Christian dance routine. I must be getting old but sexy rear end humping, swinging and swirling does not seem very Christ like.

I’m with you. Unless her dancing is very toned down, and non-sexual in nature, it’s not something that my generation would view as in keeping with modesty. But then, “Christ-like” dancing wouldn’t win any contests in Hollywood! Perhaps ballet.

Yes, the dancing does get ridiculous on that show, and so do the women’s skimpy costumes! The show has gotten a lot of humor out of Sadie’s dad, Willie, having to approve of her costumes. Her costumes are not as bad as some of the others, but still pretty sexy.

pretty sexy?
The flapper costume did not have a low neckline.....
...the duck costume was not low cut, and was covered in feathers...
...the UP costume was as modest as can be...
....she had on shorts the 2nd dance, but they were not daisy dukes!
....her first costume was modest too.....

She’s a cute gurl with a darling personality.....and not trying to be sexy

Obviously you are a fan of hers. I did not mean to offend you. But in the costume with the shorts, (which you say were not Daisy Dukes, but couldn’t have been much shorter,) even one of the judges asked her if she was sure her father had approved that costume and the moves she did in that dance.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. Have a good day!

LOL!

What is a 'Christian' dance routine?

Exactly what type of dancing would Jesus do?

LOL!

It's clear you know nothing about dancing, especially ballet.

Dancing, especially partnering in ballet, is the expression of sexuality between a man and a woman.

I am a rabid fan when the competition is good. This season I think will be a nail bitter.
Sadie does look like she’s having fun and that is what will keep her in. (Mark told her after a bad revue not to give the ‘haters’ what they want. It had backfired on the Olympic contender this season with her bad, albeit from disappointment, attitude.)

Agreed. She has wonderful personality! Her parents and grandparents have obviously done a great shop of raising her, and her older brother Luke. I really enjoy the respect all the kids have for their elders on the Duck Dynasty show. I love the prayer at the end of each show with most of the family around. Of course, all of the above drives liberals nuts!!

lol - true, I know little about ballet. I just see all the ladies looking very graceful and controlled.

When I see the men, well, they all look gay, so I don’t think anything sexual.

I recall someone posting a thread with her dancing and I was blown away. Someone commented how she had to poise of a Vegas Showgirl.... totally true.
