Dude, get a grip - your coming off like some kind of nut case.
I’m on your side I think.
You must have hated history when you went to school.
I find history fascinating wherever I find it. I passed by the 2 forts mentioned in the article when I was going up to Kohat and the tribal areas but didn’t learn of the story of the fight until years later.
Maybe because the Muslims I was working with didn’t like the idea of getting their butts kicked by the Sikhs.
So for at least the second time I’ll tell you I don’t support any special accommodations for any religious groups in our military.
Me get a grip, hated history? You have two such posts so far, how about you take a breath and get a grip on yourself?
I clearly love history and why are you posting so irrationally and with such hostile nonsense?

Why the crack, the reason it is so recognizable is because of the pro Sikh arguments that we see on these threads about our military and the Sikh agitators, which seem to rely on old history involving India.
All I said to you is that we arent 1800s India.

Dude you have some serious issues you need to work out.
Have a very SF day.
Sorry, but it isn’t me posting all that weird emotionalism and having such strong overreactions to whatever it is that you are reacting to in post 51, in this discussion about Sikh militantism in the American military.
To: PeteB570
Yeah, we arent India in the 1800s.

Calm down before your blood pressure pops.
Un-grit your teeth and stop with the coffee for tonight.
I don’t see anyone emotional in this thread but you.
What happened? A Sikh kick your cat years ago?
Nah, they always call in Sikh!
It has absolutely no negative impact on combat performance. If anything, the Sikhs have a renowned and respected record of being tough and courageous warriors. When Sikhs were in the military, they always weight toward combat arms.
So, yes, the prohibition is rooted in dogmatic ignorance.
Can Christians wear crosses and have Bibles on the desks? Its part of their religion also right?
Strange, so now you are siding with the Sikh militants?
So you want beards and nonmilitary headdress in the American military, that is your opinion, you side with the activists, that is fine.
I would like to see your proof of your factual claims though, I would like to see the unusual percentages of Sikhs towards combat arms and their reputation in the American military as being superior to Christian and atheist and Jewish soldiers.
Dude, put down the crack pipe and push back from the keyboard.
Beant Singh served as Indira Gandhi's "loyal" bodyguard for 10 years before he pumped 30 bullets into her. By the way, his "martyrdom day' is coming up on Oct 31, you gonna attend?
you will never see a Sikh on welfare.
Does Bindy Johar collect welfare? That's a good question.
We uncivilized north americans have a lot to learn from enlightened asians.
What do Sikhs do to other sikhs who don't follow the sikh dress code? They disown them. Despite that, it never occurs to sikhs that other peoples and organizations in this world also have rules and codes of conduct.
Your argument ad absurdum fails.
That’s Argumentum ad Absurdum
