Vinson DID call the CDC.
Vinson waited 81 minutes on hold with the CDC (SHE DID CALL).
The two witnesses to that were sitting next to her. These two geniuses HAD to overhear that she may have Obola, and further, probably observed she was getting sick.
What ends up getting reported: “Two male strippers self-quarantine.”
Not, “CDC lied its ass off about Vinson calling them.”
Or
“Vinson called the CDC from the airplane asking if she should be flying.”
Or
“Stupid people and political correctness are going to kill us all.”

If nothing else, Obola was worth it just for this story...Not even Stephen King would have had two male strippers sitting 3 feet from the disease carrying protagonist...

Yes, they did they right thing. The "reporter" did not think that was as important as the fact that they were "male strippers". No surprise here.
