Ishikawa was washed up, bouncing around the minors prior to this year. He was picked up because of the injuries to the other Giant outfielders. What a story.

Matheny might lose his job over this. He took the ace out right when the ace was on fire with a one-run lead, with a shaky-at-best bullpen waiting, and then goes into the ninth with a kid who has hardly pitched all year - a righty with three lefties batting.
