“Their argumemt makes no sense. If someone sneaks across a border in Africa and tries to use his home country passport to board an airplane, wouldn’t we see his home country on his passport? If he gets to another country and flys to Belgium wouldn’t we see his home country when he tried to board? Can someone explain to me how someone could sneak across a border in Africa and then sneak onto a commercial airplane? I guess he could buy a fake passport but how many people would be able to that in 8 to 10 days without a fever? Not very many. I am sure our custom folks would be able to see thru most of them anyway.”

It doesn’t. Homeland Security has said that NO ONE legally enters this country without them knowing their travel history. If they come into JFK, THEY CAN BE SPOTTED and they can be turned back (at the airline’s expense), should we institute a ban.

That part is not debatable.

Why a travel ban wouldn’t work perfectly

The famous "Demand for Perfection"-Fallacy!

"Because a proposed solution isn't entirely without drawbacks, it must be rejected."

Abstinance will lead to more pregnancies.
Securing the border will lead to more illegal immigration.

These people in the administration, politico included, are dangerous idiots. They actually believe what they are saying.

“Don’t they have passports to enter the U.S.?”

Bingo! I keep hearing dems make this statement as a reason a travel ban would not work and it is complete BS! Who cares if they break up their travel. They still have to have a Visa and Passport to enter the US. All we need to do is cancel all Visa's from West Africa and they will never be able to board a plane to the US.

My prediction, a travel ban is coming. Let a couple more people get Ebola or a new traveler from West Africa get into the US and come down with Ebola and even the chosen one, Obama, will have to relent. In fact, he is already setting himself up to changing his mind when he said today, “if” the experts think we should change our process and procedure “I” will. See it wasn't his idea not to have a travel ban, it was the experts....

Another article with John Boehner and others “calling for something to be done, a travel ban.”
Since he’s the speaker of the house you’d think he might know, um, someone to call .... instead, we get more harrumphing.

So. Obama is lying again. But why? This decision will most likely explode in his face. Then what? He blames it on the CDC and hundreds of our citizens are dead and our economy is in ruins? Why? This is crazy.

Only flights coming in and out for supplies are allowed. If flights are allowed, the passengers will be required to spend 21 days in quarantine.

You are correct. That is the solution.

“Why”

The answer is OBVIOUS. It’s the November election, now less than 3 weeks away. Keep it under wraps until then - a few innocent nurses, still nothing compared to the DOZENS OF PEOPLE that died to make sure that Bill Clinton had a clean shot to the White House and then to re-election.

By DEMOCRAT reasoning, a small price to pay. And they simply don’t have the ability to look at Miss Pham as anything other than an impediment to trying to hold on to power.

But things will get interesting...as Ebola doesn’t believe in sitting out elections.

The question isn’t whether or not a travel ban would work. We’re not looking for an on/off switch for ebola.

The point is that a travel ban would probably significantly reduce the risk of citizens getting ebola in my non-medical opinion.

Jewish Ghettos, isolated, were not affected by the plague. Will these people ever refer to history instead of vague reports of “dont work, wont work, blablabla”?

The antisemites getting the plague did the same to jews, throwing bodies over the walls of gated ghettos.

Politico practices Nazism traditionalite.

If, in response to the exponential outbreak in West Africa known to US intel 9 months ago, all flights and/or passengers originating from West Africa would have been barred from entering the US under ANY conditions— why then by God nobody would have been infected here.

The lack of understanding of this simple expedient- proven time and again in disease vector control-is explained by the PC mental contortions needed to ignore the obvious for the sake of “fairness” and world peace. Bollocks.

Only moron libs could get their minds around the mindset that says “you cannot get ebola from riding on a bus, but someone with ebola riding on the bus can infect someone else”, and then to apply that perigrination on the head of a pin to our sacred country. Diseased minds working for a truly demented leadership.

Are their editorial meetings still in Nancy Pelosi’s office or has Politico moved to the OFA building?

And this time, experts inside and outside the administration warned, throttling travel would hammer already devastated West African countries, make it difficult to send relief where it’s needed, and send an unknown number of infected travelers into the shadows, increasing the difficulty of knowing how many were entering the U.S.

BullSh*t, Bullsh*t, BULLSH*T!

And if they're infected, they won't be in the shadows long. They'll soon be dead!
