McConnell Says CDC Should Get Money Needed to Battle Ebola [Defers to CDC on travel ban!]

If federal health agencies under President Barack Obama want more money to fight Ebola, they should get it, according to the Senate’s top Republican.

“I think they should have anything they want. The president asked for $88 million a few weeks ago, we gave it to him,” Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky told MSNBC. “Whatever the [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] thinks they need, we’ll give it to them.”

The White House hasn’t yet requested more money, although some Democrats have blasted cuts to the CDC budget and other accounts from sequestration.

MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt asked McConnell about recent comments by National Institutes of Health Director Francis S. Collins about how funding levels have contributed to delays in developing a vaccination for Ebola, as well as the broader question of if more funding is needed to handle the immediate crisis.

As for the calls for the calls for travel restrictions such as flight bans, McConnell deferred to the health officials at the CDC, something many senators in his caucus have not done.

His near-perfect score on the LSAT helped him fulfill a dream of going to Harvard Law School.

Wonder if Baraq would dare to compare?

Clearly, McConnell is drooling over the prospects of directing some federal waste to his cronies. Why ruin a good thing when it’s just around the corner.

Some Friends in Texas know the Cruz Family personally.

He is the real deal, period. We can only hope he throws his hat in the ring.

He is a true Patriot, something lacking in both sides of the current Ruling Class.

The GOP losership here again proves they will not substantively engage Obama on anything. Anybody who thinks the next two years will be any different than the last four is dreaming.

“airborne” needs to have a new popular definition, one much closer to the reality of disease transmission paths.

I’m nervous about the Harvard and Goldman Sachs connections but I’m hoping the primaries will give us a good shootout.

My current view is that Elizabeth Warren is the next POTUS so the R contest may be mostly a sideshow.

But another 18 months of Obama chaos may actually turn the tide.

No doubt.

Airliners flying here from Africa, or connecting from there, represent a clear and present danger to the American people.

The public outcry needs to be ramped up, right now.

It Is Time For The Congress To Re-establish it’s constitutional authority

While the talkies, talk radio show hosts, need to remind “US” of this.. Members of the House and Senate also seem to forget. While those selected to head various federal departments of government are recomended by the incomming POTUS (president of the United States).

Such candidates are constitutionaly required to be approved by the Senate in a procedure known as advise and consent.. Those appointed then are also sworn to uphold, protect, serve, and support the constitution. Not the executive branch. .

Such appointees can and should refuse any executive order.Or allow the executive branch create a political appointee who over rides their congressional authority. Particularly. If and when that executive order is designed to ignore existing congressional legislation which defines a departments jurisdiction or specific purpose protecting the interests of the country . Which places the country in danger, or minimizes the value of citizenship, or places its citizens in clear and eminent danger.

Therefore they and their respective departments must be held answerable to both houses of congress which funds these operations. And, should be held in contempt, censure, and impeachment and the funds witheld if refused to comply.

But don’t forget, if we don’t vote for the socialist with the “R” behind his name, Obama will have new found authority to run roughshod over the constitution.

Money isn’t going to do anything. They’ve had billions and billions and they’re still haven’t a clue. See my tagline for many days ago. Now, if they were to appoint some people with common sense, that would do wonders.

It ‘s too late for spending money. It is time for action—a tight quarantine for the entire nation.

I would like to see how the CDC spends its money. I want to see what programs the money is being spent on such as guns being a health issue.

Ebola would find a dead end in McConnell. He’s hollow from his head to his gut.
