Only thing holding bundle together is sports networks.
it was like that from the very beginning. my first encounter with cable tv was in the 80’s when they pretty made the only station you could not get unless you purchased a “package” was the sport stations.
It was close to 90 per month for two channels and about 40 channels of programming we never watched.
