"Timothy" looks to be hoisted on his/her own petard.

She may call her self Tim, but she still doesn’t own a petard to be hoisted on.

Timothy would have made it easier on us if he had just named himself/herself Pat.

In a sane world Miss Timothy would only be welcome as a Barnum and Bailey side show.

We are obviously living in dangerously insane world.

I thank Miss Timothy for the comedic side show relief.

Saluting FReeper Scoutmaster, who properly noted in his discrete private note to me, the correct phrase is “Hoist on his own petard”. A petard was a small roundish cannon-like device that was hung from a spike on the gate of the castle you were storming. The intent was to apply a more directed force over a very small area in order to blow a hole in the gate. (Makes you wonder how they chose the “lucky” team of soldiers who got to drive the spike and set the charge.) The phrase comes from Shakespeare, which is why is sounds so odd to those of us who do not normally use 16th century phrasing in everyday speech. But no matter how you say it, the very phrase sounds painful.
