I think that it is the US "big pharma" industry which can claim credit for this. And it is not only the BDS crowd, but also the US companies with an interest in the invention, who might be wary of the Israeli company's offer to mass produce their drug.

An Australian company CSL, is also offering something similar - in their case, mass production under license. CSL says that it will take a long time to find a vacinne, but an effective medicine could be mass produced.

Whereever it will be produced, I think that it will ultimately be due to the efforts of the big US drug companies, who have such resources and a very good record of making new medicines.
