Vladimir Putin slams President Obama for adopting a "hostile" approach in naming Russia as a threat to the world in his recent UN speech. From an interview with Serbia's Politika newspaper, Bloomberg reports,
Its futile for the U.S. and its allies to blackmail Russia over the Ukraine crisis, President Vladimir Putin said in a newspaper interview today.
Russias partners should remember the risks involved in disputes between nuclear powers, Putin said. He accused Barack Obama of adopting a hostile approach in naming Russia as a threat to the world in the U.S. presidents speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Sept. 24.

Yet I’m kinda surprised Obama said it.
I also think America doesn't really believe the Russians would ever use nuclear weapons against us.
Very dangerous. The warheads will be flying and our guys will be wondering if it's a false blip on the radar. Turning to each other, “hey guys, I think the radar is on the blink again!”
Kabooooooooooooooooom. What? Seattle smoldering? You gotta be kidding?
Yeah, it was like a “hmm maybe you shouldn’t have said that on the world stage” moment.
I agree. I think Putin means what he says too. I just don’t know if he says what some Serbian newspaper says he says.
Could be that the Russia of today is one of the three "major reasons humanity can be saved" from the Islamists and Obama. The other two might be the Pope and Cruz.
Putin needs to remember obola has said the same about America and it’s citizens.
Russia has not suddenly gone psychotic and wants to commit suicide and end Russia as a nation.
This is one of the silliest bluffs that we have ever seen.
Bingo! Never happen. But I am wondering if this blustering between Obola and Putin is not some sort of shroud to some other agreed underhandedness between the two.
It isn’t a 1985 anymore, and you aren’t in Germany, and your butt is not a corn locking the Soviets in a Fulda Gap, ansel.
You obviously pays too much attention to a message targeting the very same Cold Warrior like you, who were at the opposite side at the time.
So silly in fact, Putin is moving tactical warheads into Crimea.
We are not talking about ICBM mounted warheads with multiple kiloton yields. These particular warheads are sized for the battlefield.
We had similar warheads in Europe in an effort to counter the massive armored advantage the Soviet Union enjoyed back during the cold war.
Back then, the Soviets could roll columns of tanks into European nations, there was little NATO could do to stop them conventionally....then enters the above.
Use of tactical nuclear warheads would not immediately illicit a full out nuclear response continent to continent. The Russians would no doubt come under immediate worldwide condemnation, but there would not likely be a full out earth shattering exchange of nuclear arsenals as in the movies.
What a whacky post, it didn’t make any sense at all in regards to this silly bluff that you guys are making.
Russia going nuke as it attacked NATO would result in Russia disappearing and the remains being carved up into independent states and whatever China wanted.
This is a ridiculous bluff, made for the gullible.
Good suggestion, this is clearly about influencing the general public, not anything real, so it is about some sort of publicity campaign.
~Russia going nuke as it attacked NATO would result in Russia disappearing and the remains being carved up into independent states and whatever China wanted.~
Do you really believe to survive it?
As a serving Russian soldier that joined here during your Ukrainian invasion to propagandize this forum, that is your threat?
Your threat is that you want to threaten nuclear war against the nuclear weapons armed NATO nations and just hope that they will surrender to you?
It isn’t going to happen.
I’m not threatening you a little bit.
Just look at post 9.
