CBS4 has learned that Quest Diagnostics, the nations largest diagnostic lab company, has told doctors, hospitals and health care providers nationwide the company will not accept blood samples suspected of being infected with Ebola; and will not knowingly allow any patients suspected of having Ebola into Quest offices.
In a message sent Oct. 11 to hospitals and doctors, Quest Diagnostics said, Patients with known or suspected Ebola hemorrhagic fever should not be referred to Quest Patient Service Centers or Quest In-Office Phlebotomists for specimen collections of any type.
CBS4 contacted Wendy Horst, a Quest spokesperson. She said, We have informed clinicians that Quest Diagnostics does not provide Ebola testing and that we recommend that they refer to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for information about testing for this virus in the United States.

Could you post a link about LabCorp? I utilized several search engines and got no hits for
LabCorp Ebola
either in the news category or just everything.
Used to be most people had to go to work the next morning.
Now, not so much.
Bttt
At least you spelled it right.
I'm one of those crazy conspiracy nuts who tends to see real life as a variant of a number of Hollywood movie scripts. This little excerpt reminds me of the "Alien" movie franchise, in which the evil corporation (Weyland-Yutani) learns about an absolutely unstoppable killer alien species and (of course) says, "Why don't we send people to go get one, and bring it back to earth?? We could make money selling it as a bio-weapon!!!!"
The idea ends up being, as they say, "not so good".
Stepping away from Hollywood, I really do see this as an Agenda 21 issue -- some folks think that the really big problem is that the world just has too many people. We need a lot less of 'em. A lot less.
People who think like that WOULD try to bring Ebola to the US.
If our country were stronger, we wouldn’t have Obama in office. Obama got elected because this country is a mess. He’s the result, not the reason of things being bad. Do you guys really think that a lightweight like Obama could have been elected if our country were strong and intelligent?
I just read about this on another thread.
A RELIABLE QUICK-TEST FOR EBOLA
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/10/03/this-test-could-stop-ebola-s-spread.html
You know, with the right anti-liability clause and right team, a person could make a FORTUNE contracting their services and skills to hospitals and even heads of state worldwide.
Well, by not accepting the blood and patients it will obviously cause the disease to spread! (if you follow the “logic” of the mentally bankrupt CDC head)
They want to know the patient’s Ebola status before they handle the blood. Some other lab will have to do the testing before they’ll accept the specimen.
“If you find someone to test this stuff — and tell us what’s in it — then we’d be perfectly willing to test this stuff — and tell you what’s in it.”
At this point, voting Democratic is tantamount to TREASON!
Ebola is a level 4 biohazard.
Very few places in the U.S. are equipped and trained to deal with that level of biohazard.
Look at the required protections for level 4:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biosafety_level
Civilian labs and hospitals are neither trained nor equipped for this.
Some of the testing was done in Austin at the state health dept. Here’s a little tidbit from their site that will give you oh so sweet dreams tonight.
http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/lab/default.shtm
After hours receipt of samples is temporarily unavailable. All packages transported through a courier (FedEx, UPS, LoneStar Overnight) will be accepted during regular business hours. Specimens submitted to Greyhound Bus Station-Austin will be picked up by laboratory staff as usual. Hand-delivered samples will be accepted only during regular business hours Monday - Friday (7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) until further notice.
And we wonder why it takes the US two days to get test results whereas it takes a matter of hours for West Africa.
Something like that. LOL
I know that in my state, Washington, that the state operates one lab with Ebola testing capability. However, they are not set up to do most of the routine tests on the same specimens that are done every day.
The used common becomes a level 4 biohazard, and I don't know about your house, but my house is not equipped to handle level 4 biohazards.
But why worry?
And flu season is right around the corner...........
