Boehner, like most career politicians, has to gage the direction of the prevailing political wind before he can say or do anything. Nothing is ever about what's good and right for the people. Politics is always the prime consideration.

A travel ban would actually be easy to enforce when it comes to flights into the country.

Everyone flying into the US from abroad has to go through customs before boarding the plane already.

All that is required is getting the people checking passports to check to see if that person recently traveled to west africa (this information is either stamped on the passport and/or kept in a computer database already) Anyone determined to have recently traveled to west africa is then simply denied entry to the US.
