You can't call the locals incompetent, if they were following the recommendations of the Feds.
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS has almost killed these people.
Explosive diarrhea & projectile vomiting - we have not yet begun to feel the effects of the Progressives’ policies.
Don’t worry...Tom Frieden will be on teevee for another 7 hours solid today. It’s the best way to prevent the spread of disease.
And in the Obama world, the problem is now nurses who speak. Expect gag orders issued at hospitals now, courtesy of the closest federal judge.
This can’t be right. Criminal negligence, which is hard to believe with medical professionals at a hospital like Presbyterian. I can’t even understand how Duncan was released the first time, even I would have had sirens go off upon hearing the word “Liberia”
I understand they can’t get things 100% right all the time, but good grief, this is just unbelievable.
a patient with explosive diarrhea and projectile vomiting,

has Obama hugged the family in the Rose garden yet ???
if not that’s rasiss......
That’s why I always go to Baylor.
I would have walked out the door of that Hospital to a safe distance, put up a picket sign and started giving interviews. If this story is true, then what happened in inexplicably insane!
Here's proof on the nurses' necks being exposed at THPH as they are wheeling in the deputy.
Totally unprotected THPH staff surrounding deputy.
Ok, no doubt some things were done wrong. On the other hand, it is a union making the claim. So I expect that some claims are blown way out of proportion.
Depends. Were they following the recommendation of the Feds or were these their own guidelines? It sounds like they were surprised by the Ebola case and were winging it at first since their own records reflect a tightening of the isolation procedures. Could be that they finally came around to following the CDC protocols.
“Preparation for Ebola at the hospital amounted to little more than an optional seminar for staff.
-In the face of constantly shifting guidelines, nurses were allowed to follow whichever ones they chose.”
They clearly violated MANY of the CDC published guidelines.
“Optional seminar”; how astute do you need to be to know that taking extra precautions for an Ebola patient is necessary, and that freely available training should be done.
Obola disease.
I think you can call them all incompetent. Blind adherence to fedgov recommendations by healthcare personnel on the ground — who likely had some inkling that the fed recommendations were inadequate — is also incompetent. You can’t be sheeple. THAT SAID, I don’t think the blame falls to the nurse level. The hospital ID docs should have countermanded the inadequate fed recommendations.
Those who volunteer working for social ministries had better be careful.
Many of those asking for assistance from these ministries are in contact with the likes of Duncan’s family, who are now in quarantine themselves.

JOHANNESBURG (AP) International aid organization Doctors Without Borders said that 16 of its staff members have been infected with Ebola and nine of them have died.
Speaking at a press conference in Johannesburg Tuesday, the head of Doctors Without Borders in South Africa Sharon Ekambaram said medical workers have received inadequate assistance from the international community.
“Where is WHO Africa? Where is the African Union?” said Ekambaram who worked in Sierra Leone from August to September. “We’ve all heard their promises in the media but have seen very little on the ground.”
Four of the organization’s medical workers who had just returned from Sierra Leone and Liberia said they were frustrated, “chasing after the curve of the outbreak,” according to Jens Pederson, the aid organization’s humanitarian affairs adviser.

All the nurses were not following their retroactive protocols...
It is all the nurses fault...
