You are wrong, sir.

The laws passed by Congress that established these IR regulations were and are violations of the 1st Amendment, which forbids Congress from passing any law that does what those laws, in effective, do.

We are not obligated to obey laws and regulations that are violations of the U. S. Constitution. In such cases, we should never wait for a USSC decision to take that stance. This particular case is such an obvious violation that it should not even be in question.

You're probably correct in your legal opinion about the validity of the IRS laws.

Your arguments parallel those of the "I don't need a Drivers License folks" back in the 1990s.

Technically, they may be correct. On the other hand the "reality" is that you go to jail if the police catch you driving without a licence.


I am certainly NOT defending the IRS in my arguments.

Rather, my primary point is that the "Covenant" between Christian Churches and the IRS (via church tax-exempt status) is a SPIRITUAL DISASTER.
