You give too much credit to the liberals.

Presnting and discussing Bible passages is fully within the rights of every Christian church, tax exemption or not.

Then you ignore fairness. What about the liberal churches that repeatedly tear apart conservatives, Bush, Perry, etc? Will they be subject to legal actions as well?

Legitimate churches should be entirely exempt from all government taxation and control regardless of whether they comply with 501c3 requirements for other tax exempt nonprofit organizations.

If your organization is not a church and you wish to be exempt from taxes then you have to comply with the applicable exemption requirements. If your organization is a church then you should be exempt from taxes regardless of what you church preaches.

First off, tell that to Black churches,

Second, the IRS is Federal. Not the city of Houston.

I just emailed the mayor. I don’t expect it to do any good but we have to do something.

I remember back in the times of the Constitution there was that blurb about separation of church and state.

“SURRENDER their rights to ... First Admendment “Free Speech” ... when practiced behind a “tax-exempt church pulpit”. Period.””

So the government decides what a Church may say? The government can dictate to a church that certain biblical passages are not protected speech?

Church Czar's in the near future. . .just to ensure a church toes the political line and only preaches in favor of homosexuality, homo-m,arriage, illegal aliens, redistribution of wealth. . .got it.

Putz.

The Houston government is attempting to establish a religion whereby a person must believe as they do.

The Houston government is also squashing freedom of religion.

The Houston government is now claiming any item of religion it decides to demand people believe in is now a government matter and not one of religion.
