Zero=empty suit. I agree with Donald Trump...Airlines must stop the flights out of hot zones, so no one can come into USA via any way. President absent and incompetent.

Sorry you are right, 150 a day.

Right now they have a 1 in 1000 chance of having Ebola and that is increasing

Your ratio assumes exposed individuals are not over-represented among people trying to get out.

And flu season just about to start as well. Get your N100 masks while you still can.

Those e bola suits used do not work....simple as that.

The guy who posted two people inside a condom here on FR had the right idea, just add arms. The sneeze or cough can send those e bola germs air borne, and into eye or any other place the suit might have opening.

More details are expected at a 7 a.m. news conference, which hospital officials, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings and Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins are expected to attend.

If this spirals out of control the midterms may not even happen.

Yes, right now my ratio is probably a safe bet since these are the people with some money and Ebola victims are generally poor. But that will change as the disease spreads, the 150 a day increases and people start sending their potentially infected kids in a last ditch attempt to save them (sounds like this has already started).

You are absolutely correct: this is a bipartisan policy.

And, like most things bipartisan, it is a disaster.

A good working model is that, although sometimes their intention is good, Democrats are always wrong on policy. Whenever Democrats agree with Republicans on policy, therefore, it is bad policy.

It’s a pretty good model: occasionally a blind squirrel finds an acorn, but not often.

Masks won’t help. Droplets will carry into your eyes. The unsealed face shields they are using now are completely inadequate.

The reason this is so ominous is not because these health-care workers may have infected someone else in the time before they were isolated — that is not highly likely, since they were immediately isolated at first symptoms, and were undoubtingly in home quarantine anyway. This localized outbreak in Dallas is likely to be contained.

The Dallas nurse's boyfriend is in isolation for monitoring. If he gets sick, then he will have gotten it from BEFORE she was symptomatic, because she went right in at the first indication of fever.

The results of our country being stolen by America-hating Commie Oragnizers.
Dems own this. No matter how much they LIE and blame..this may be the end of their utopian dream.

150 a week would be bad enough. 150 a day is criminal negligence on the part of 0bama’s administration

If human skin itself contains the receptors required for the Ebola virus to easily bind to a host, aren’t carriers always contagious? Human skin is not a barrier, the virus passes right through it. Both directions... Once a significant population of the virus comes into contact with the host, that’s pretty much it. That is the horrific aspect of the virus here where airborne or not, on contact transmission is almost a given.

I think the conference is late. Still time to get to the store and buy some eggs.

Those are effective, simple, common-sense recommendations.

They remind me of the military chem-suit decontamination procedures (buddy system, spraying down PPE before removal, gloves in layers).

In fact they make so much sense I’m sure they won’t be implemented, because the political appointees running the response to this epidemic don’t have any common sense.
