NYT: Republican's Chances Reach a New High
New York Times ^ | 10/14/14 | Josh Katz

Posted on 10/14/2014 1:05:21 PM PDT by tellw

Republican chances of taking control of the Senate have risen to 72 percent, the highest level yet in the almost six months that The Upshot’s forecasting model has been tracking the race. The odds rose from 68 percent on Monday and from a low of 50 percent last month.

The main cause of the latest shift is new polling in Kansas, which suggests the race is now a true tossup rather than a race in which the Republican, Senator Pat Roberts, is a slight underdog. Our latest forecast gives Mr. Roberts a 52 percent chance to win in November, making the race between him and Greg Orman, an independent candidate, essentially a coin flip.

After the last two “elections”, I don’t put much stock in these predictions. They never factor in rampant voter fraud by the ‘RATS and their union stooges.

The Slimes needs to make this interesting. Figure next week the October Suprise will drop and by Nov 1 Rats will be up in every race.

Questionable. The Libs have something planned. You can count on it.

They may be trying to psych-out the Republicans too. Some hearing this poll will think it’s in the bag for them so they don’t need to bother going out to vote.

These models have been more accurate than polls over the last few cycles. While they use polling data, they adjust for various factors, perhaps even including fraud, who knows?

The Libs have something planned. You can count on it.

1) Punt. Let the Pubbies take the Senate.
2) Have Janet Yellen shut off the printing presses and have the economy plunge into the abyss.
3) Blame Republicans

Repeat as necessary. Just in time for Hillary or Warren or whomever they run in 2016.

Worst news I've heard all day.

It is the Washington (permission to use the word Washington was not obtained from the Washington family, and besides it is disrespectful of a newspaper to use this name) Post after all.

LOL

The margin of fraud is going to be very high.

We now have federal judges ignoring prior rulings and making up laws to enable fraud.

The USSC has lost control.

My guess is that Obama will swoop in to help the Kurds. About a week before Nov. 4 probably.
