Experts have reportedly not tested whether Ebola patients can infect others by coughing or sneezing even as one of the top experts on the particular strain of Ebola that has ravaged West Africa believes the virus is "primed" to go airborne.

Obama and Frieden need to go visit the nurse suffering from ebola and spend half an hour in her room with no protection. Show us it’s not airborne.
And I suppose common sense would not prevail here? That getting coughed on by a person with a highly contagious disease will infect you too?
I mean everyone knows that simple logic about a common cold...
And the CDC doesn’t know? Because they “haven’t studied it”???
Who the hell is running this show?
You know how I know it’s an airborne disease? “Cause it got here on a JET PLANE!
Of course coughing and sneezing can spread it.
Common sense says it would. What difference does it make in how the Ebola-containing fluid contacts your skin and mucus membranes?
BTW, here’s what the CDC says on their web site:
“Can Ebola spread by coughing? By sneezing?
Unlike respiratory illnesses like measles or chickenpox, which can be transmitted by virus particles that remain suspended in the air after an infected person coughs or sneezes, Ebola is transmitted by direct contact with body fluids of a person who has symptoms of Ebola disease. Although coughing and sneezing are not common symptoms of Ebola, if a symptomatic patient with Ebola coughs or sneezes on someone, and saliva or mucus come into contact with that persons eyes, nose or mouth, these fluids may transmit the disease.”
First of all, clearly this was written by an affirmative-action level hire. Also, gotta love the deliberate obfuscation on top of the junior high school level writing quality. First paragraph says oh no, it can’t happen. Second paragraph says indeed coughing and sneezing can transmit Ebola, once you wade through a pool of ambiguously referenced pronouns and decode what the sentence is trying to say.
Sounds like it went airborne a couple years ago in a research lab when some ebola infected chimps infected some other chimps in another room through the ventilation system.
US Army had to come in a clean the place up.
I was actually making fun of them, not you.
Our U.S .Gov officials don’t really know much do they...
they are the problem.
It mutated between the Texas hospital and the ambulance that took him there.
IMO, coughing and sneezing is a way of sharing bodily fluids...including any surface coughed or sneezed on.
It’s called “lying.”
Because no one has found a way to 'mutate' a virus to make it airborne.
OOPS.
Scientists create hybrid flu that can go airborne
"A team of scientists in China has created hybrid viruses by mixing genes from H5N1 and the H1N1 strain behind the 2009 swine flu pandemic, and showed that some of the hybrids can spread through the air between guinea pigs. " (02 May 2013)
Never say never!
“Researchers have crossed two strains of avian flu virus to create one that can be transmitted through the air and possibly settle on the cilia of lung cells “

Yes, I know it says avian flu virus. AND, we are talking about ‘ebola’ , which is a totally different thing.
OR IS IT ?
