If there is one thing Mitt did to lose the election, it's that he would not stand up to Obama. The first debate was the only instance - and he crushed Obama. The rest of the race was kid gloves all the way. Hillary is was more fierce than Obama. Even if Mitt were an acceptable candidate, toe to toe I think Hillary would eat him alive.

Between the first and the second debates someone reminded Willard and Obama was not a conservative and that he no longer needed to annihilate the other candidates..
