I just renewed my drivers license and supposedly to comply with federal requirements I had to produce a certified copy of my birth certificate, my social security card and two pieces of mail like utility bills to confirm I lived at the address shown on my license in addition to my previous license with my photo. If I have to give this type of documentation as a US citizen, how the heck are states going to give illegals drivers licenses without complying with these federal requirements? Obviously illegals will be able to get drivers licenses with any phony name they want and no proof of anything. That makes driver’s licenses totally a joke as any identification.
