A majority of people will never see or be involved with a “same-sex marriage” (or even refer to it as such); the fact that it failed on every ballot when put to voters speaks volumes.
They won (by judicial activism) a “right” most Americans couldn’t even bother to avail themselves of anymore...

What really speaks volumes is the lack of any significant backlash.
This was the easiest and fastest way to make same sex marriage legal. Before next months election.
