The election of JFK is what destroyed America.

His Navy “heroics” at the time should have actually been a court martial, instead his dad pulled strings to get him the Soldiers medal, or as the Navy calls it, the Navy and Marine Corps Medal, for non-combat heroism.

Yet this writer reinforces the idea of JFK as a great war hero.

Why bring up Obama when JFK is the subject?

You know, I had always thought JFK was awarded the Navy Cross and that your post was incorrect. A brief search showed that his decoration wasn’t the Navy Cross but the medal you described. Thanks for correcting a misperception.

I have this book where the guy lists the 100 most influential people in history and JFK is 100...on the sole basis of the Apollo program which the author claims would not have happened without him. No Moon landing so forth. I don’t know how true that is.
