A female hospital worker who provided care for the Ebola patient in Dallas who later died has now tested positive for the virus herself, health officials said Sunday in a statement.
If that preliminary diagnosis is confirmed, it would be the first known case of the disease being contracted or transmitted in the U.S.
A statement posted on the Texas Department of State Health Service's website said "confirmatory testing will be conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta." Those results were expected later on Sunday.
"While this was obviously bad news, it is not news that should bring about panic," Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said during a somber Sunday morning news conference at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital.

Stop flying in people from the affected countries for now.
Just stop.
P-sycho eyes.
Not taking any advice from that goofball.
Are these the fake stand-up cardboard photos that you get in a party store??
.
Someone explain TX politics to me...
Why is a judge speaking at this kind of press conference?
Try telling us the truth for once.
The lack of honesty from the most transparent administration ever...
Where is the Surgeon General?
Don’t worry, be happy!
Boss man of Dallas County government.
“President Obola and his Texas Doppelgänger.”
He is not a law judge—he is what we would call the county executive here. He is the head of the county government. It is an administrative position.
My understanding is Texas uses the term “judge” for this position.
I believe we do not have a surgeon general at the moment. Some problems with BO’s choice. Surprise1
If I were in the Judge's household, I'd be a little panicked right about now. Keep a stiff upper lip and a PC-closed mind, Judge, and check in with us in a week.
Weren’t they both on Episode 13 Season Three of Eureka?
One was a space alien and the other was an illegal alien.
One of them didn’t think beheadings fit into its belief system.

He looked scared sh**less this morning. I’ll bet his is not a happy household.
Would it make me a bad person if I did not lose a whole lot of sleep if Clay Jenkins contracted Ebola after his reckless and irresponsible behavior
There is absolutely nothing to worry about!
lol....Good question...This guy has crazy Pelosi eyes too.
Wasn’t this not the judge who drove the Liberians who were exposed, to some secret location?
Is he running for mayor? Governor?
Creepy little monkey...
Was there any bending over involved?
I hope this idiot judge drowns in his own infected blood.
It would make you a brave person, because Clay Jenkins is a public, glad-handing figure who could infect many others. I'd be worried about that--he could infect more people than Duncan. If it's just him, well, he gets a Darwin Award, or at least an Honorable Mention.
