At this point a lot of Freepers are thinking, "excuse my language, but how in the **** are the hospital personnel contracting this while supposedly in protective gear but Duncan’s family is not infected while interacting unprotected with his bodily fluids????"

The answer to the question is shown below. The woman in the protective gear is/was wearing the CDC's recommendation for protective gear.

Think of the VA and its problems when you think about the CDC. Both are controlled and staffed by liberals, who really aren't that concerned with doing their job properly. They are concerned about increasing their budgets and span of control instead of good results.

Thanks to Black Agnes for posting the link to this picture last week.

bgill has some scary photos of how well trained (not) our front line care givers are/were.

If that’s the approved gear it sucks. No covering for the head, a simple mask not an N 95 or a respirator.

Are you saying that is the protective gear the nurse that caught it was wearing? It was not a full protective suit with on board oxygen?

I wear better protecting gear when I weld two pieces of steel together.

Any health care “professional” that treats ebola,Marburg etc. dress like that shows how redefining the word professional doesn’t make it so..

We have Democratized the language to the point words mean whatever they mean for the moment. Which means nothing.

thanks for the photo. Looks like the person is protected by a shower curtain, kitchen rubber gloves, and has nothing over her head. Her hair will most assuredly pick up ebola. The virus likes furry gorillas, bats, chimps. And chumps.

My employer booked me to fly into DALLAS in a few weeks. Where do I get the recommended protective gear to wear on my flight?
