The Obama regime has no problem announcing THAT good news before the election but the DISASTEROUS news about the changes in Obamacare costs (which they already KNOW) cannot be released until AFTER the election.

I am living in Northern VA and the commisary is still a good deal. I just moved from NW Washington state and food is way cheaper here than there. The one thing I still get sticker shock from is the current beef prices, but that is bad everywhere.

Look we have tried the method you are suggesting for a long time, and it has led us to NOTHING but defeat.

No, we haven't. Unless you consider eight years "a long time". I've been around since Goldwater and don't recall any concerted effort to unite conservatives and actually assault the leadership bunker of the Republican party until the Tea Party coalesced.

And, in fact, the progress we've made in the last eight years is comparatively spectacular.

Of course, the GOP-e is committed to maintaining the levers of power...and keeping them away from the conservatives. But each election since 2006 has moved us a little closer.

Under the circumstances, it is quite conceivable that Ted Cruz will win the nomination in 2016. He will do it over the kicking and screaming bodies of the GOP-e, to be sure. But it could well happen.

And, if it does, we have a good chance to secure the leadership of the party. The point will be to avoid a "unity" candidate or VP (e.g., another GHWB).

I wouldn't want to give up on that outcome. Would you?
