If it’s not a service that is offered with the class of ticket he bought, he shouldn’t expect to ask for the service.
Are you dense? He didn’t EXPECT, he asked.
He didn’t demand, he complied.
Other passengers objected - 1st class passengers offered their seats - he declined.
I advise you to take your petty comments elsewhere.
He's a decorated Army Ranger -- coach or not, the attendant damn right should have hung up his jacket, and thanked Sargeant Marle for the privilege of doing so.
Decorated Army Ranger -- does that mean NOTHING to you?
I have been flying since I was two years old, and currently log close to 15,000 miles/year for business.
I generally fly coach, occasionally ask to hang something in first, and have never once been refused hanging space.
Quit your snippety whining.
That’s silly. I’ve paid for coach tickets and received all kinds of “service” not included. It is not like he was asking for a glass of champagne or free stuff. Additionally, first class passengers did offer their entitlements. There are no excuses for her actions.
