Susan Collins Says It's Too Late To Repeal Obamacare (Surprise!)

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) thinks it's time for Republicans to let go of their efforts to repeal Obamacare.

Speaking to an NBC affiliate in Portland on Thursday, Collins argued that the GOP has missed its chance to get rid of the health care law entirely. She noticeably did not say whether she would vote to repeal or defund Obamacare, despite being asked.

"You know at this point, I think we’re past that," Collins said. "I think it would’ve been much better if there’d been a bipartisan bill crafted in 2008 that had provisions that both parties could agree on, such as prohibiting insurance companies from discriminating against people with pre-existing conditions."

I once thought it was too late to kill off the Free Enterprise system but that didn’t stop the politicians for doing it.

I am afraid it is too late this election cycle.

Why? The election's only a few weeks away...

Susan Collins Says It's Too Late To Repeal Obamacare (Surprise!)

Susan, when you're mercifully gone, and long forgotten, Obamacare will be just an embarrassing blot on the history of "progressive," clueless incompetent Democrat politicians.

When, 60-70 years ago people said, anyone can succeed; to lead, even to become a political national leader, they didn't have the slightest clue that it would mean that qualifications, education, knowledge, critical thinking and competence would no longer be considered to be of any useful value whatsoever.

And although Collins, like Boxer, is the dullest of the local dulls, the no-information voter continues to make matters worse.

Yes; Obamacare cannot, in any physical universe, survive too much longer before it literally implodes. With or without the RINOS' help.

I wish we could but the Rat is a leftwing moonbat.

Collins is ahead by something like 20 points.

I was responding to the post that wrote of repealing Senator Collins. Highly unlikely, she is ahead by 20 points or so.

So, now, here we are....and it's too late, they say.

Let's not make stuff up.
Collins, although dumb enough to be a RINO, is neither a Republican nor a Conservative. What RINO-proof Republican has made that assertion?

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) thinks it's time for Republicans to let go of their efforts to repeal Obamacare.

Aside from meaningless votes in the House and Sen. Cruz's one-man effort to stop it, I'm not recalling any real effort by the GOP to repeal Obamacare. Wasn't it Collins' bobsy twin in Maine, Olympia Snowe, that essentially gave the Democrats the chance to pass this mess? With friends like these, we just might need a new party in this country.

This is the final phase of the plan. Somehow the pubes drew the long straw and got to buy time to look like the good guys. There is not a dimes worth of difference between the two parties. All along I thought they were afraid of being labeled racists by obamaites when they just the final cog in the wheels. Now, it does not matter who wins the election. It is all just a choreographic foil. The Republic has ended, tragically, from intriguers from within.

It is never too late. The left never gives up, why should we? The left can tear down a 5,000 year old institution that is the bedrock of civilization and we surrender after a few years? Do you think the left surrenders even after losing multiple times in the Supreme Court? Never!

You're right. The fight must go on until it's won. Surrendering to the Liberals in either party or surrendering the fight is not an option for me. Collins has been on the Top Ten of the GOP-E Sellouts list for a real long time.

Collins said. "I think it would’ve been much better if there’d been a bipartisan bill crafted in 2008 that had provisions that both parties could agree on, such as prohibiting insurance companies from discriminating against people with pre-existing conditions."

Only a dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks ignoramus, after years of the Charlie Foxtrot, can still fail to acknowledge that NOT discriminating against pre-existing conditions may be a new, excellent touchy-feely welfare program, but it clearly ceases to be insurance!

I just hope that Obamacare doesn't totally destroy the 80-year old Social Security Program, Medicare and the entire U.S. economy before it disappears...

Many like what she's saying, most of the rest are craven cowards, afraid that if they say anything they won't be invited to the posh Georgetown parties, or worse, won't be allowed to jaw-jaw on the Sunday morning gab fests.

Duh. The R’s might just take back the Senate. So it will soon be time for RINO’s to stop pretending they want to repeal Obamacare. Their votes may actually mean something soon. At least Collins is honest about it.

I agree, how many senators are there that internally feel the same way as Susan Collins but externally lie through their teeth about “repealing Obamacare”.

But hasn’t and won’t. A more profound change is required in Washington.

What is required is more than the senate, but that is a great start.... but only a start.

This is a situation that requires great follow through. Where will that come from?

Can the republic count on “We the People”? The last few elections put that in question.

This collins idiot is a complete fool and degenerate loser. Maybe she should go to Liberia where she is needed to assist ebola victims.
