He’s such a treasure.
Amazon started collecting O Malley sales tax on purchases October 1, totally peeing me off.
I cancelled my Amazon Prime trail membership two days before before they could charge me for it,
What a dope. Urban areas have been growing for decades. Just look at places like Atlanta, Miami, Houston, San Antonio, etc. It has little to do with the current generation and/or WiFi. His insane logic could have been used to argue that cars, electricity and running water were human rights for previous generations.
They started doing that here in TN back in January. With our sales tax at nearly 10%, it eliminated virtually any reason to buy on Amazon. I curbed my purchases there by at least 90%, which I’m really unhappy about.
Well... to clarify...
He’s the governor of the state you live in... but he’s not “your” governor because he sure as hell doesn’t represent you or anything you believe in.
Sorta like D.C..., actually...
That is not an Owe’Malley ask; they charge sales tax in every state where they have a physical presence.
Pure insanity
This must be how the libs read the 2nd amendment:
“The right of the people to engage in anal sex, and their access to high speed Internet without having to pay for it, shall not be infringed. An unelected Judge shall have the power to enforce this article through judicial fiat.”
That will get old for them fast.
Proving once again that to be a democrap is to be totally illogical without an understanding of law or the meaning of words.
"The right of a woman to have an abortion shall not be denied or infringed under any circumstances, and taxpayers shall be obligated to pay for any and all abortion procedures".
The liberal's bill of rights also states:
"A well regulated separation of church and state being necessary to the security of a progressive nation, Congress and the Executive branch shall prohibit or abridge the freedom of religion, especially Christianity, if its clergy or members object to any and all progressive goals.
But this law shall not be construed to deny liberal or leftist religious leaders from using their faith to enact federal laws, or members of the Islamic community, except if they object to abortion or gay marriage"
>> “Wi-Fi is a human right.”
Don’t know about that, but he’s made the case for the right to be an a-hole.
Yup, and no free delivery until $35. Now I use Amazon only to find a product and read the reviews and then buy it from a reputable Ebay dealer without tax and, in most cases, delivery charges.
Amazon prime was pretty good but I wont pay for it with the collecting those taxes, so they can compete with other sellers without the shipping deal while collecting those taxes..
Amazon got Maryland tax credits for opening distribution centers in Maryland but that means that they must collect those taxes from us, a great deal for them if we go for it.
I call the Maryland sales tax the O Malley tax, especially since he raised it.
So if Amazon collects it, or congress passes a law forcing out of state businesses to collect it, then to me they are doing Maryland elected Dems bidding.
Amazon got Maryland tax credits for opening distribution centers in Maryland but that means that they must collect those sales taxes from us to give to Maryland, a great deal for them if we go for it.
Ebay was one of the options cited in articles written about Amazon being forced to collect those taxes being they want those distribution centers. I started doing searches as soon as I found out that it was going up. Sounds like you have a good system.
Avoiding those sales taxes is one of the only ways we can protest and defy the Maryland single party empire.
Plus buying online can deny businesses here who employ Maryland Dem voters that $$$.
O Malley raised the sales tax from 5 to 6% here late 2007.
A Guttenberg printing press is a human right!
Everyone deserves a free one!
I’d want one
It’s a pressing matter!
