Thank goodness!!!
Now everyone with a cold is going to have to be tested for Ebola. Even if there is no outbreak here, how much is that going to cost?
A bit of good news, at least for today.
My understanding is that the test has a relatively high rate of false negatives. Does anyone have statistics for that?
It seemed too soon to show symptoms. As I predicted Oct 5th will be the beginning.

Praise the Lord!.......................
Yes. Just walking through you wouldn’t expect him to contract Ebola, even if fomites present on surfaces. Touching a contaminated surface might lead to a different outcome. But if none of the others come down with symptoms, maybe there were no viable virons in the area.
Great news.
However, IMHO the CDC is whitewashing what is known about the details of transmission.
They are particularly optimisitic about the fever threshhold and the incubation period. These are statistics and probabilities, not guarantees. We should be extra-cautious with something as lethal as this virus.
Good!
I hope he stays negative
>> fear mongerers
People have a right to be in fear. Did you post this to insult people or to give us an update about the deputy.
Keep telling others to not discuss their fears / Obama thanks you for that.
Thank God. Prayers where up!
I will simply be happy for him....I want this stuff to be as hard to spread (as they say)
Thank goodness!
Yah—but—it takes 48 to 72 hours for the virus to show up in a blood test.
More lies to calm down the deluded residents of the Dallas area.
You’ll know fear when it gets closer to you.
And who would those be exactly?
"Mr. Monnigs condition is good with no fever, no vomiting, no diarrhea reported, the hospital said in a statement. His current condition is not consistent with an early stage Ebola diagnosis.Vs.
"Christopher Dyer, president of the Dallas County Sheriff's Assn., spoke with Monnig and his wife Thursday. He said hes starting to feel a lot better and his fevers still coming down,"Dyer said, adding that Monnig's wife wants to relay to everybody: Lets just take a deep breath. She doesnt want people to get overly concerned before we know whats happening.
Prayers that the testing will continue negative.
In addition to what’s already been said, the “Department of State Health Services” is about the last source I would trust on this.
