“He is shown “all clear” after just a few days. Why not wait for 21 days?”

I am not his doctor. However, it appears that he is no longer exhibiting symptoms and that does not happen with Ebola patients. Instead, they have symptoms and the symptoms never get better unless they are treated for the disease and survive.

ROTFLMAO! My, but you are a brave little pissant hiding behind your keyboard giving Texans a bad name. Or is that your purpose here, to stir up crap? We have enough crap in this world, oh brave one, so why don’t you go guard your border or something.

GOOD NEWS!!!

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Missy, I’m sorry the guy tested negative. It’s obvious that you are a disappointed scare mongerer but it’s time for the adults to talk now.

Yes good news. As you can see there are some that appear disappointed by the news, as if the poor guy testing positive would further their agenda, but for most of us this is great news.

The poor guy is probably sick with worry which would explain his stomach problems, but I would not clear him for a few more days.

Except a fever doesn’t come from a bad burrito.

If you picked up salmonella it sure does.

Viruses come in lots of different sizes, colors, and packages. Many of them will bring on a fever, diarrhea, and vomiting.

It respect this guy for self reporting and for the actions taken to verify he was OK.

I used the term “bad burrito” the way some in New England say a bad clam, or bad ice cube.

You see, that's the difference between you and me. I'm not the least sorry the guy tested negative. I hope the test is accurate, too, even though they have been known to give false negative readings.

He’s negative that’s all there is to it. Period!

People are in such a panic about this disease that they are literally losing their heads. Every single thread is filled with dire warnings about ebola tests being wrong, doctors not having a clue about testing for viruses, the disease is ‘easy’ to spread, ebola is actually ‘airborne’ but the governments around the world are lying, that 50% of the world will surely die ‘this time’, and on and on and on.

Well guess what, the idiots saying those things (scare momgerers) are wrong. They are ALWAYS wrong (y2k, glob warming, bird flu, swine flu, meteorites, super volcanoes, Fukushima, and now ebola!).

One more thing...whenever this is pointed out to a scare mongerer their response is very predictable. First they say you are stupid and that you don’t understand the nature of the threat. Then they try to educate you about how it is ‘different’ this time.

Just remember, every single panic headed scare mongerer in here is NO different that the global warming alarmists. They are exactly the same. Just keep that in mind.

What is going to complicate all of this is the normal cold and flu season happening at the same time.

About five days ago, one of the deputies (it might have this Monnig) said (to my recollection),

“I didn’t want to escort them in an isolation suit, because I wanted to treat them like I would want to be treated.”

and

“People are created in the image and likeness of God, and I didn’t think it was right to.. (have a suit on)”

I heard this on the radio, before Monnig was identified.

Did anyone else hear that interview?

I thought he was incredibly warm-hearted, but ....

STUPID.

I’ll be too busy ‘whistling’ past the bird flu, global warming, swing flu, asteroid striking earth, Fukushima graveyard to notice.

BTW, thanks for proving my point about the predictive scare mongerer response. It’s exactly what I predicted it would be. You even sprinkled it with a tone of ‘boy I hope this happens’.

~ Cheers
