Wednesday's shooting happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the city's Shaw Neighborhood, and involved an officer working a department-approved secondary job for a private security company, Police Chief Sam Dotson said at an early-morning news conference.
The officer approached a group of men. One of the men took off running, Dotson said, so the officer pursued. Dotson said the suspect approached the officer in an "aggressive" manner, with a physical altercation occurring. The man then turned and fired three rounds at the officer before his gun jammed, Dotson said.

Stay in the car, don’t get out. Don’t approach suspicious looking people. Don’t pull cars over. Just take reports after crimes have occurred. That’s the current mentality of cops. Stopping some mutt isn’t worth it anymore.

He was an armed teen with a lousy cheap gun, and could not unjam the pistol in time before the cop fired all necessary rounds to put him down. If the kid had spent more money, or bought a better gun, this whole situation would be a different ending. The question that ought to be asked....how many folks got shot by this kid before? It might be interesting to track the gun, his events over the last year and see if there’s some other dead folks tied to this kid.

My thoughts exactly. Put up billboards facing into these areas stating, “No Police, a gift from the Democrat party.”
“Witnesses” are claiming it was a sammich. However these witnesses have already shown a willingness to lie outright.
