The Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. marked his 73rd birthday Wednesday by criticizing the medical care of the first person to die of the Ebola virus in the U.S., contending he initially got substandard care due to his lack of health insurance.
Thomas Eric Duncan, 42, died in Dallas Wednesday, a day after Jackson had been there to meet with Duncans family and offer assistance, Jackson told students during an assembly at Farragut Career Academy in Chicago.
Because he got late treatment, this morning he died, Jackson said.
He pointed out that whites, who have been treated for the virus in the U.S., were saved from death.
People who are poor and dont have heath insurance must have the same rights as everybody else.
He told the students he planned to travel back to Dallas to assist the Duncan family.

Yeah, he's assisting them all right!
You need to be quiet. You are completely twisted in your thinking. You owe me an apology for your diatribes. Since when did YOU decide whether I belong here or not? I am NOT going to have an open debate with you and that is what you are trying to bait to get yourself and me banned. Game over.
Charge: Treatment was different from others
Truth: He was the first case in the U.S. Who can we compare it to?
Charge: He was treated different from the other Americans.
Truth: Ok........yes.....THEY were professionals risking their lives in Africa to help other ebola patients where they unfortunately paid a very high price by catching the virus themselves. So......they were flown home to their own country for treatment.
Duncan was not volunteering for a humanitarian organization
Duncan was not a highly trained professional
Duncan was not employed so no one was overseeing his treatment.
Duncan was not flown back to his home country.
Duncan was not likely to return to Africa to continue service to ebola victims
Charge: Hospital goofed by not suspecting ebola
TRUTH: There had been NO CASES diagnosed in the entire U.S. Why would that be on their radar? DUNCAN ON THE OTHER HAND had just come from Africa and even if he did not know the pregnant lady had ebola (doubt it), IT HAD TO BE ON HIS MIND WHEN HE FIRST GOT SICK. Why did he not mention it at the ER during the first visit? He only mentioned coming from Africa. His so-called girlfriend thought of it. His nephew thought of it. WHERE IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY?
They likely did not mention it because they knew he lied previously.
CHARGE: He was treated like a criminal.
TRUTH: His own country, Liberia, was the first to suggest he might be charged with a crime for lying.
