You’ve got it right about Fox. They are totally squishy on the gay issue. We never see the social conservatives Pat Buchanan and Cal Thomas, who are supposedly on the Fox roster, defending traditional marriage.
Here’s the thing, almost everyone now has friends who self identify as gay including me and Mr. Mercat. I have come to where I can love them but not their choices. I pray for them and wish them well. Interestingly they don’t even know each other and each is quite conservative and hate Obama.
Indeed, FoxNews has always done its best to under-report on the issue, in a calculatedly obvious way as not to ‘stir’ up the opposition to it from their conservative-leaning viewers. As if it were best to keep those crazy old neanderthals out in mid-America lulled. I recall the day when NY (or NYC-?) legalized this degeneracy of fag-marriage, CNN and MSNBC spent approximately the first 15 minutes with live coverage on the topic. FoxNews made a short 20-second mention of it, about ten minutes into their broadcast, and quickly scampered off to a commercial. It was hardly even acknowledged as a news story.
Similarly, the crawls at the bottom on FoxNews have often misrepresented some of these state-by-state incidents, when judges have come in and thrown out some state bans. Their typed crawls are written as if to convey the people and the state itself has suddenly switched and accepted homo-marriage. Not that some left-wing judge came in and dictated it, against the state constitutions and the will of the people. A subtle little thing they do, the way they disingenously frame it.
I don’t trust FoxNews one iota.
