A gardener and improvisational artist who attended the local Zen Center. Probably a very nice if somewhat delusional lady. The definition of a conservative is a liberal who got mugged. Too bad she won't have the opportunity for the political conversion.

And a liberal is a person too broad minded to take their own side in an argument.

Even an “improvisational artist” don’t deserve to die like that. Now Mimes on the other hand ...

I would like to see the statistics on how many white grandmothers are raped and or murdered by black males.

My impression is that it would be shocking.

Seriously, once convicted and sentenced, the murderer should face execution within 5 years. Hanging is passe, if appropriate, so the best means of execution is by firing squad.

1) Least number of potential appeals.
2) Inexpensive and needs no special equipment or expertise.
3) Effective.

The way this can be brought about is with a Republican POTUS and Republican congress, that the chairmen of the respective senate and house judiciary committees “streamline” the federal appellate process, none of which reforms are in any way unfair.

1) All death penalty appeals will go to the head of the federal docket, and continuances will be limited to one month each for the defendant and the prosecution, and one month at the discretion of the judge.

2) Federal judges will only be able to overturn a death sentence under very strict and limited circumstances of gross negligence or malpractice by trial court officers, jurors or law enforcement officers. Otherwise they may only return the case for trial court reconsideration, without instructions beyond the elements of reconsideration, with the trial court reconsideration being final.

3) States will be declared “competent authorities” to carry out executions, by means of their statute. And if these means are of longstanding practice, then they are not open to question.

Ideally, new death sentences will likely reduce the average wait time from 20 or more years to under 10, with a target goal of 5 or less, once the reforms are fully in place.

So senseless. It speaks volumes about what a cowardly little punk he is in that he had to use a knife to overpower a 72 year old woman.

Hope he gets violated on a daily basis in prison. He acts like a punk, he might as well be made into one.

” Too bad she won’t have the opportunity for the political conversion.”

Yes, but she won’t have died in vain; her peers and friends will find this very difficult to explain away.

Being San Fran, I was guessing an illegal until I saw the picture, and that just confirmed my second guess.

A witness looked out her window and saw a man “making punching motions” into the rear passenger area of a parked Honda...

What? The perp was 'unarmed'???... Aren't 'unarmed' black men NOT dangerous? He was "only making punching motions"? Is the paper implying people can die at the hands of 'unarmed' thugs? But, but, but what about Ferguson ? Unarmed means innocent, right?
