Po lil feller...
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." ---C.S. Lewis
Reportedly the old *itch Ginsberg is reluctant to retire before Obama’s term is up, the rats are trying to browbeat her into it. Breyer is also getting old.
GOP Senate with a rat President is rare, the last (and only) a times a democrat President had a SCOTUS vacancy with a GOP Senate was Grover Cleveland, in 1888 (he had 2 of them), a narrowly GOP Senate.
If Scalia slips in the shower under Obama or Clinton, America is ***ked. The waffler Kennedy is also old. Thomas is 66, God willing he’ll last a good while longer.
And 4 more years of a rat filling the lower judicial vacancies, unacceptable. We really have to win.
I’ve been preaching about the SCOTUS as THE issue for years.
A RAT +1 appointment and that really is it.
But what I am getting at it that maybe the GOP wins the Senate by a seat or two and that stops Obama’s free pass appointments, but if they also use it to totally pee off say 60% to 70% of voters and none of the SCOTUS justices retire till after 2016, when the tables turn and now Republicans in Blue states are up for re-election, and say Hillary is POTUS then, it would be a disaster.
Recall all those here sure that the 2010 victory in 2010 meant a similar one in 2012.
I dreamed last night that Ginsburg had died. Suffice it to say, not a happy dream. She needs to hang on until 2017 (or at least until 2015 when we get the Senate back).
Yes, yes.
