It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Morgan started slowly popping up there with thought of eventually giving him a show. It sounds implausible, but it’s not like FOX News doesn’t have even worse people sitting behind a desk.
Last night former CNN host Piers Morgan did something he never thought he’d do by sitting down for an interview at Fox News headquarters in New York City with Sean Hannity. Morgan is still set in his anti-Second Amendment views, but during the interview he offered a surprising critique of President Obama and gave extra criticism for recent comments he made on 60 Minutes blaming the intelligence community for failing to see the rise of ISIS in the Middle East
Morgan also slammed Obama for saying the Islamic State isn’t Islamic and for his callous decision to hit the golf course immediately after making a statement about the beheading of American journalist James Foley.
“ISIS clearly is an Islamic fundamentalist organization, it’s a terror group, and when they start beheading American and British citizens in these gruesome, snuff movies that they are making, and releasing them to the world, taunting, taunting these countries,” he said. “It’s not good enough to simply say, yea I’m really upset about this beheading, and then 7 minutes later as Obama did go to a golf course and be seen goofing around on the first tee. That really hit home to me.”
I predict this won’t be Morgan’s last appearance. That doesn’t mean he’ll get a gig, though I suspect his celeb connections would be tempting to the higher ups, but it does mean that he really isn’t going anywhere.

Morgan’s tactic for getting a handle on a demographic is to seize on an issue. He’s switching from gun control, which he used to pander to liberals, over to a round of belated Obama bashing, over ISIS and Ebola, to pander to the right.
I assumed that he would head back to the UK. Instead he used his UK contacts to pick up a UK gig focused on the States. Despite all the sneering and bashing, it seems that Piers Morgan likes it here.
I was so hoping he would slither back to the UK.

And if FOX takes him on ... I'll petition them to bring back Alan Colmes ... at least he's American and has a dog in the hunt.

I watch FOX for about an hour in the mornings. But even that is more like watching Good Morning America than news station. I dont need to know the latest book written by a member of steven tylers band or whatever they have on the curvy couch . I want to know what happened on the news overnight.
I stopped watching Hannity four years ago. More like seven years ago for Bloviated O’reilly.
So FAUX news is going the way of the dodo in my estimation. I will still with FR and Drudge and other sights that give me NEWS i dont need some nimrod making a million dollars a year to tell me what I ought to be thinking after nearly 7 decades on the planet, than you very much.

Piers Morgan, like Bill O’Reilly, is a performer first. His views come second. If he desires to continue to make a lot of money on the telly and if he has totally worn out his welcome finally on MSMNPR and Fox is the only place left then he will transmogrify himself to the extent necessary to get on Fox.
If Piers enters stage right on Fox...I will exit stage left (from the very little I now watch on Fox).
