Granted the headline on NR is a grabber and homeschooling is somewhat innovative. I have to fault the author for lack of defining homeschools as a truly radical movement in the US. It seems to me he could have done a little more research.

Putting the Occupy movement within the extra long run on sentence is rather off-putting .

If homeschoolers is the most radical then what else is out there.

I think he means "radical" as in counter-cultural.
Home-schooling is the most counter-cultural activity an American can engage in, (guns ownership is still mainstream, thank God) - and the Libtards hate us for it.
