Commission says Christian business owners should leave religion at home

The Human Rights Commission in Lexington, Kentucky has a chilling message for Christian business owners who refuse service to LGBT organizations: leave your religion at home.

“It would be safe to do so, yes,” Executive Director Raymond Sexton told me. “Or in this case you can find yourself two years down the road and you’re still involved in a legal battle because you did not do so.”

On Tuesday, a Lexington Human Rights Commission hearing examiner issued a recommended ruling that the owner of a T-shirt company violated a local ordinance against sexual-orientation discrimination. You can read the ruling by clicking here.

“It was a landmark decision,” Sexton said. “This is a very important ruling for us.”

The examiner concluded that Blaine Adamson of Hands On Originals broke the law in 2012 by declining to print shirts promoting the Lexington Pride Festival. The Gay and Lesbian Services Organization subsequently filed a complaint.

It’s done to benefit the mega corporations in America. Like Ahab finding an excuse to obtain a man’s farm, te government comes up with their own faux blasphemy charges to take away businesses from people and add the small business owners’ assets to themselves.

A mixture of fascism and moral evil.

Make no mistake, that is precisely what this is. The rest is just redundant. Re-read that sentence about "(...) if you don't want to end up in a legal battle (....)"

The mob would have loved to have had the ability to use lawfare against business owners.

I live in Lexington and haven’t seen this on the news. I just googled Adamson’s name and don’t see it covered by either TV news or the Herald-Leader.

“The examiner also ordered Adamson to attend “diversity training” conducted by – wait for it – the Lexington Human Rights Commission.”

How about “no”.

After Being Fined for Refusing to Host Gay Weddings, Christian Farm Owners Are Fighting Back With Stunning Decision

The owners of a family farm who are being fined $13,000 for refusing to host a gay wedding ceremony are taking action in an effort to overturn the state’s ruling against them. An attorney for the Alliance Defending Freedom, a conservative legal firm, filed a petition in New York State court Thursday on behalf of Cynthia and Robert Gifford, owners of Liberty Ridge Farm. The petition asks that the “sexual orientation discrimination” ruling given by the New York State Division of Human Rights in August be reexamined.

The Gifford family actually offered up their properties for a reception but their personal beliefs or religious beliefs drew a boundary at the ceremony being held in their home or premises. It is tragic that the courts are supporting forcing individuals to do things against their conscience. Sadder that businesses are being forced to close down because of a group of people forcing their lifestyles upon every individual who disagrees with them.

Yes, I sadly agree.

There are so many stupid people, GOOD people who just don't "get it".

My wife's family is exhibit A.

Good Catholic Christians who reliably vote democrat.

Yet at home they say how much they disagree with gay marriage, abortion, etc.

I thought my father in law was going to come unglued by WA state legalizing gay "marriage"

"It's unnatural! What the hell is wrong with people?"

But he votes democrat because he's a retired union postal worker.

I don't know what is up.

Do they REALLY think that the democratic party represents their interests?

Is it just a reflex? Republicans bad, only care about the rich, etc.

Oh, I suppose my print shop should now pump out pornography and NAMBLA flyers with no regards to my Christian values, then, eh?

Gun control mattered to the Jews.
But, most figured it out late in the camps.

Executive Director Raymond Sexton told me. “Or in this case you can find yourself two years down the road and you’re still involved in a legal battle because you did not do so.”

If court battles no longer deliver moral justice in America, Mr. "Executive Director," prepare yourself for gun battles. Because that progression is unavoidable, sooner or later.

Bloodshed will ultimately be the only option.

And I’ll be supporting anyone who goes postal on this PC homo-fascist crap. The libs have already proven that there is no longer any rule of law, no longer any Constitution. And the people pushing this are no better than Soviet-style thugs and enforcers.
