What!? Show ME a squirl eating a bird. I have never heard of squirls eating birds. They eat nuts and berries. What are these, conservative squirls?

One bitterly cold winter in Connecticut I sat in my office in Hartford. Outside the window, in a tree I watched a squirrel chewing on a frozen bird. It didn’t look all that tasty to me but I wasn’t living in a tree in January.

Didn't have a camera handy at the time, but I have seen one gnawing happily away on a fried chicken drumstick in parking lot corner of Popeye's.
