MURSITPINAR (Reuters) - Islamic State has raised its flag on a building on the eastern side of Kobani where IS fighters have been battling Kurdish forces for control of the Syrian border town, according to Reuters television images and a Turkish military officer.

A black flag apparently belonging to the group was visible atop a four storey building close to the scene of some of the most intense clashes in recent days, television images shot from neighbouring Turkey showed.

A Turkish military officer who did not give his name said that the flag was that of Islamic State, which has seized swathes of territory in Syria and Iraq in recent months.

Turkey is playing a double game while aiding ISIS in killing the Kurds. I hope they remember and repay Erdogan appropriately.

Well organized and well funded. Where’s the $ coming from? It takes billions to run a war, even a small one. Someone is paying for it. Kill him.

this was a tweet on my timeline this morning... Harald Doornbos‏@HaraldDoornbos·1h1 hour ago I don't hear any coalition planes, I don's see any coalition planes. And the skies above #Kobane here are baby blue.

Turkey is ruled by Islamists who share the dream of a modern caliphate. They want the Kurds eliminated since they view them as a threat to Turkey’s territorial integrity. The Kurds are fighting for the establishment of Kurdistan which would include Turkish territory. The Turks believe that at the opportune moments they can take over ISIS. The Turks are not trustworthy and should be expelled from NATO.

Great tweet. Chateaubriand ن ‏@Chateaubriand__ 6m6 minutes ago The well-armed Turkish army watching #ISIS attack #Kobane draws unfavorable parallels to Soviet army watching Germans crush Warsaw uprising.

One team wants to win more than the other. And unlike the Obama led team which reluctantly employs half-measures, the ISIS team has a clear and bold stategy for achieving its goals. That’s just the sad truth.

Its hard to win when you are not committed to winning.

This is what happens when there is no leadership. Just a bunch of politicans who posture, bloviate and pretend to lead. And there is no shortage gullible people willing to be deceived by them. In the meantime we are heading for a very dark place.

Depends upon what we bombed and what we sent our choppers after. In Nam for instance our planes often bombed rice patties rather than rest targets. Dims are so into sending a message don’t YA know. I think bombing for unconditional surrender sends a message of its own. Miss cutter, Miss Daisey Cutter, please report to the flight line.

Could it be that what we are told is a lie?
