The answer to the question about spreading by sneezing or coughing is quite convoluted. It’s like they were trying to “bury the lede”. The simple answer is: “Yes, you can catch it, if an infected person sneezes or coughs directly on you.” So, it’s not as contagious as ordinary flu — but, it’s possibly a lot more contagious than we were being led to believe, until quite recently.

Direct contact means that body fluids (blood, saliva, mucus, vomit, urine, or feces) from an infected person (alive or dead) have touched someone’s eyes, nose, or mouth or an open cut, wound, or abrasion, OR OPEN SKIN (gets in pores).
