Well, at least they still have their heads attached to their bodies . Never know what can happen when dealing with members of the religion of peace.
I'm sure England will now stop showing Peppa Pig cartoons.

Hijabs are offensive — no wearing them on the bus.

(This is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire; or both.)

Two simple concepts that should be written into law codes everywhere:
1. Do not do provocative things that get others highly offended.
2. Do not be so easily offended at the smallest of provocations.
People are overly sensitive to hurts done to them, but are absolutely tone-deaf when it comes to the grief they impose on others.

If this had been posted as satire, I would have denounced it as bad satire.
But it's evidently not satire. Would would (will) happen when some Muslim gets offended because the Queen is not wearing a burka? I suppose the Queen would just put one on.

seems to me that muslims singing songs about pork should be encouraged

That was definitely a real possibility in the age of cell phones and all.
Not to losing their heads, but being surrounded by a couple dozen Muslims and having the crap beaten out of them.

Remind me again, will you, on why we bothered rescuing the United Kingdom from the Nazis in WWII?
To: alloysteel
I would agree with your second rule, but not the first. it is the right of a free people to be as provocative as they want, as long as the "provocation" does not interfere with the rights of others.
I despise Hitler. But if some fool wants to quietly sing a Nazi song to his child on my bus, he should have the right to do so as long is he is not too loud.
If his song offends me, too bad. It's a free country.

Sorry, there is no "right to not be offended". In fact, the U.S. Bill of Rights and other similar documents are specifically to protect offensive speech and print. Non-offensive speed and print DO NOT NEED PROTECTION.
At the point where we grant a "right to not be offended" we have totally lost any semblance of free speech or print.

I blame no one but the Brits themselves. They voluntarily brought this on themselves, now they will have to figure a way out of it.
