You mean these are the articulate champions INVITED by the driveby, DNC-media?

Hmm... Why would only RINOs be on their shows?

Never forget that the DNC-media has an agenda—to get democrats elected (and Republicans defeated) and push the country continuously Leftward. Lean forward!

How does one agree and disagree at the same time. The Democrats created this mess and they need to pay the price of their duplicity.

On the other hand, it’s hard to allow the Kurds, Turkey, Syrians or Iraqi who supported us before take the blunt of what’s going on.

The Democrats allowed and encouraged untold numbers of Vietnamese get killed to further their political philosophy. So we now allow the same thing to happen in the Mid East? But, we’re helpless to stop it since 0zero controls the military and who’s going to get bombed.

We bomb at night so we don’t kill too many bad guys. Reminds me of Clinton bombing huts and an aspirin factory. It’s a lose/lose situation no matter which side we support.

Call it a new “Surge” in Iraq.

Will it be more successful than the first “Surge”, and/or the “Surge” in Afghanistan?

There’s no need to be a declaration of war for Syria because this Democrat President is being allowed to use the Military at his own individual discretion, not allowing for Commanders on the ground to provide the strategy.

And an honest option is to declare truce with Syria, with notice of Assad allowing freedom, a Constitution, and an election(without him on the ballot) within X years.

FACE THE NATION (CBS): Fauci; Reps. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and Elijah Cummings, D-Md.; Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Now, there is the doctor of smarts when it comes to national security. Guess they didn't have enough time to get Queen Sheila Jackson Lee on the same day.

You can’t win. Just like all those people who really believe Sarah Palin said she can see Russia form her house, an entire world of people believe we supported Saddam Hussein before the Kuwait invasion because he fought Iran. Never mind that Iraq never had a single US weapon system—not even 5.56MM cartridges; but millions of Soviet/Russian, French, German and British weapon systems, all sold for good oil-rich petro dollars by the look-the-other-way European arms merchants, and yet WE get the blame when our TWO enemies go at each other hammer and tongs.

It was these same Europeans that hired Hans Blix to “inspect” Iraq for 12 years without finding a thing—as they we’re moved around like a three monte shell pea... All while blaming the USA for it bellicose-ness!

Duncan has gone from critical to serious, and back to critical.

British airlines has suspended all flights to and from South Africa. Doctor thinks they shouldn’t do that because it “amplifies the problem”.

10,000 people have flown out of Liberia since outbreak, only two screened when getting off the plane.

Doctor thinks Ebola coming across Mexican border a far fetched scenario

Doesn’t know how long virus can live on a doorknob, but Ebola is “fragile”, probably less than two days. Can Ebola mutate to become air transmittable since it is already doing things that it didn’t before (human to human contact)

Scientific evidence shows we won’t have an “outbreak” because of our healthcare system.

There’s a two-fer going on. Ebola as you said but add in the mysterious respiratory disease that’s hitting kids, with origins suspiciously tied to the illegal immigrants who have some into this country.

I have to wonder how many Americans have to die before 0bama and the Democrats are through?

Peter Boyles, local KNUS radio host and no friend of Republicans, has even decided NO Democrats should get reelected this year. They, as a party, stand for everything that’s destructive to our country.

I’m happy Boyles has seen the light.

Yep, government subsidized free cell phones and early voting will ensure Democrat votes, Republican suppression is laziness, doomsday may even be traced back to this era in history.

On FOX NEWS SUNDAY, a good review of the many mistakes
made, as those in charge speak disingenuously
as each puts the blame elsewhere,
if the risk is considered at all.

Judge Jenkins (Dallas) is proud he used no protective
gear, and did it because “(he cared) about their safety”. ?
He was reassured that he was “safe” without citing a source.
The Judge cannot see a virus risk, only heroes,
and he says all are “safe” including first responders
without protective gear. ??

“There is panic out there, but there are lot of heroes”.
He confuses “monitoring twice a day” with protection,
and ends with a smile.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, infectious disease chief
at the National Institutes of Health

On the Dallas pt: “(He is getting) good critical care”.
“ZMAPP is not available.”
He knows nothing personally about this case, he admits.
He says he has “no privy knowledge”.
[Why is he talking, then?]

In general, he says, just monitor twice a day,
and then isolate.
He “does not know” percentages, but then gives
percentages to attempt to assuage fear.

Q: British airlines suspended all flights, should we?
Fauci: “No. Isolation makes unrest in other countries”.
[He cares about Africa incredibly. US? Not so much.]

Q: 10K people have flown out, and only 2 have been screened. How effective is that?
Fauci: “(One only needs to) Do an exit screen.
You will not be 100% risk free.” [He does not care].

Q: Regarding spread:
He claims that when you are not symptomatic you
cannot spread (ignoring sexual transmission, ignoring
latent disease, ignoring persistent disease,
ignoring filovirus in fomites, ignoring its latency
in other primates, etc.).

Q: What about the southern border?
He is not worried, more worried about Africa
and global warming.

Q: How long are (Ebola) fluids infectious?
Fauci: “We don’t know. ... You can get it from funerals
by touching the body. “
[This makes many of his other comments disingenuous].

Q: You say there is no air transmission, but others (disagree)
Fauci: “I am loathe to discuss it publicly.
... Anything can happen ... It is extremely rare.”

[Equivocation, denial, and attention is directed
to the fact that: EV-68 was once “rare”, too. ]

Why couldn’t a Republican with more than air between the legs ask the dolt mentioning the lack of WMD....to the effect: “You think we should have left Saddam Hussein in charge?”

I've thought it...and the Shah, Mubarik, Kadoffy, A$$head, etc.

The question should have been: "Where did Syria get all the chemical weapons of mass destruction that Russia is still 'destroying'?" And then it should be answered: "We told you it was moved from Iraq."

But back to the first question: After expending all the blood, lives and treasure to win the war in Iraq...Obola PI$$ED it all away and LOST THE PEACE!

Thanks for the thread, AB!

It appears the feds are in a full court press to quell the rising panic of Ebola.

If we had decent control over our borders and had already stopped people from coming here from these Ebola stricken countries unless they observed a proper quarantine period, we would be discussing something else today and continuing to fight it "over there".

Not surprisingly, there is almost no discussion of what our troops are doing these days in Liberia and how that operation is going. I would wager $100 we are going to require a quarantine on those troops on the ground there before we let them back into this country. But the Joe Smurfs who have Liberian passports and visas? Nah! They are free to fly in every day as long as somebody takes their temperature at the boarding gate.

This is a disaster in the making and that cake is already in the oven baking on HIGH. Frieden and Fauci are trying to forestall the panic and put a happy face on this total screw up instead. They are not trying to alleviate the problem by taking all the necessary steps. They oppose this and no doubt it is for political reasons (open borders, amnesty, etc.).

This will not end well, I fear. This is what happens when Political Correctness and hubris meets stone cold reality. In the end, reality always wins.

None of the Sunday morning talk shows have aired in the Chicago area as far as I know, so I can be the first to mention this:

I think Ebola will be the October Surprise in this year's election. Death from government inactivity has a way of focusing voter attention. Ebola, along with Obama's sons beheading Caucasians in ISIS land, is actually being covered by the media and there is no attempt in the media to downplay the consequences, except when the media spouts Obama admin posi-chatter.

It would be nice if we could just let the Islamos cut off each others heads and not have to worry about it. Problem is we have open borders and letting a group like Isis prosper with no or little opposition in the world of today is really not an option.

Just ask the Kurds.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3211501/posts

What those poor people are going through right now because of US /Turkey intransigence is truly inhumane.

IN addition letting the Iranians or other terror groups block the straits of Hormuz would inevitably produce six or seven dollar gas for us as well as higher for the rest of the world. The results would be economic calamity.

Like it or not we are the only remaining super power of the world left.

If we relinquish that power and allow terrorism a free-fall it won't be a pretty world.

Even with all the screw-ups of Rear Admiral Obola we still have to do what we can do where we can. Hopefully, we get through the next two years and change the results in two more elections.

We have to fight terrorism whenever and wherever we find it. Probably better to fight it in Kabul or Baghdad then Dallas or NYC.

I love the name OBOLA!

Heh.

And how about that cracker jack secret service?

Another respected agency turned to dust by this administration.

That director, now resigned, said the SS needed to be more like Disney World.

I am not making this up!

She said this!

Never mind that Iraq never had a single US weapon system—

Actually I believe they had two. Namely, Sarin and VX nerve gas.

We should be thanked, and we should continue helping them destroy each other.

It was these same Europeans that hired Hans Blix to “inspect” Iraq for 12 years without finding a thing—as they we’re moved around like a three monte shell pea...

And one of the biggest propaganda lies in the history of modern governments, right up there with "global warming".
