Passive immunity. You're covered until the antibodies are consumed by hitting targets or degrade into inactive forms. If there is any viable virus left, there is a possibility of relapse. It takes about 2 weeks for the adaptive immune system to start making antibody, but you need an antigen target. The zmapp recipients may have just enjoyed a postponement of their fate.

presumably they have already had enough target to ramp up immune system. Thanks, I had not read up on zmapp to know what it was. Since we don’t have any anyway, it wont be involved in any of the patients I may be treating in the next few months.
